Mbeteka new jam from vlogger Ajus and other coast based artistes is worth your time

When we thought gengetone was fading slowing in the Kenyan music scene, a group of artists from the coastal part of Kenya teamed up and have dropped an exciting jam dubbed “Mbeteka”.

The vlogger Ajus lead team have now introduced a new term in the sheng’/slang vocabulary “Mbeteka” to mean “Let’s Party”.

The song features Ajus, Ziro Garama, Real A, Jakes 21 TB6, Feron Chronicles, K Shal, Adebo, Sly P, Chichi B, Yuna 21 TB6, Rakel, Arkadi B CLB, Dru TNG and Dj Aries.

Mbeteka

For a country with lots of young people that love unravelling this song just about it. It is a feel-good song that’s out to call on party lovers to show up and have fun.

Mbeteka

Further on, the mix of artistes gives in a beautiful vibe that gives you a reason to dance without so much struggle.

What stands out in the song is that the ladies in the song stand out lyrically like Rakel’s verse in magical, not forgetting her voice.

The group seems to have a mix of familiar voices some sound like common gengetone musicians like you’d think Odiwa Murang’a put his voice in this too.

Oh well, he did not, so basically the team did a good job in diversifying their voices.

Production

The Petrooz produced jam is one not ignore. The video was directed by Texas and shot by Ajus productions.

Regardless of the sheng around this song, it’s easy to dance to it.

I mean when party time is here we dance for the fun. The meaning of the other content we’ll figure that out later.

For a team that came together for a common idea of entertainment then Kenyans should at least appreciate them.

However, we cannot dismiss the fact that they are a first-time group and for that, I say good job. The ball is all on you to do more.

Rating I would give a 7/10.Your thoughts?
