The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has enforced the ban on all plastic materials in the country. Kenyans have however devised ways to survive without plastics.
Apparently the punishment if one is found with plastic materials is a four year jail term or a fine of Kes 4 million. This severe punishment drove Kenyans to get rid of plastic bags and other plastic materials.
