“She’s not here to see how her son turned out to be”Jaguar celebrates his late mother in emotional post
Charles Njagua Kanyi popularly known as Jaguar has achieved it all but his heart is still heavy with sorrow because his mother is not there to witness how he made it.
Jaguar lost his mother Nancy Wambui Kanyi, who was the sole guardian, in 1994 when he was only 11 years old. He was forced to enroll in informal employment working several odd jobs to earn a living.
The singer made forays as a recording artiste in 2004 when he recorded and released his first single ‘Utaweza Kweli’ under the Mandugu Digitali record label.
Jaguar decided to join politics after 13 years as an A-list musician in Kenya. His first stab at the Starehe parliamentary seat landed him in 12th parliament.
The singer is impressed by his achievements but only wishes that his late mother could have lived longer to watch his little son succeed.
“When I was young n going through many hardships,I promised my mum that id make her proud one day….sadly 17 yrs down the line, she is not here to see how her little son turned out to be.Everything in God’s time….Forever in my heart mama,” Jaguar celebrated his late mother in an emotional post on social media.
