Waititu finally completes dowry payment of wife of 30 years
Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has hammered in the last nail that has officially given him the authority to call Susan Ndung’u his wife.
Waititu wedded his wife of 30 years Ndung’u in a traditional ceremony, known in his Gikuyu culture as ‘ngurario’. Ngurario is the last traditional wedding phase that couples in Kikuyu homes undergo to fully confirm that they are husband and wife.

It’s after this ceremony that the bridegroom can let his daughters be married. Waititu is now allowed to receive the bride price for his daughters.
The wedding came just days after the governor was linked to graft which exposed his daughter for having Ksh 100 million sitting in her account.
