2Mbili Appeals for Public Support to Raise Khalif Kairo’s Bail
Content creator and YouTuber 2Mbili has taken to social media to rally Kenyans of goodwill in support of car dealer Khalif Kairo, who was recently arrested.
2Mbili’s call for assistance stems from their close association, as Kairo has frequently appeared on his YouTube channel.
“I stand with Khalif Kairo! I’m trying to figure out how we can help raise his bail. Anyone close to him, please reach out so we can work this out,” he posted online.
Fundraising Efforts for Kairo’s Bail
2Mbili believes Kairo’s contributions to the automotive industry, particularly as an inspiration to car enthusiasts, should be recognized. He is urging Kenyans to help raise the KSh 2 million bail required for Kairo’s release from remand.
Sharing his fundraising idea, 2Mbili suggested that Kairo contribute KSh 1 million himself while the remaining amount could be raised through small donations.
“This is very serious. I wanted to post this yesterday, but it was April Fools’ Day. Kairo has been here for us, inspiring car lovers. He needs KSh 2 million for bail, and we can help—even if each person donates just ten bob, it will still count,” he pleaded.
For the initiative to succeed with KSh 10 contributions, at least 100,000 people would need to donate.
Currently, 2Mbili is working on reaching Kairo’s close family members to set up a pay bill number where well-wishers can send their contributions.
Khalif Kairo Speaks Out
On March 26, 2025, Kairo took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to share his struggles, asking for prayers.
“I keep trying to rebuild and settle issues, but police frustration is really taking a toll. I won’t be able to raise the KSh 2 million bond, so it’s remand for now. We will rebuild, restructure, and God will see us through. I’m going offline—nawapenda, and keep praying for me.”
His plea followed his arrest a day earlier.
Kairo was taken into custody again on Tuesday, March 25, facing fresh charges. He was at Milimani Law Courts for three other ongoing cases.
In several posts, he reflected on his hardships:
“You can’t keep a determined man down. We will overcome everything. Keep praying for me, keep supporting me, and keep wishing me well. It’s a tough economy that doesn’t favor youth-driven enterprises, but calm seas never make good sailors.”
He also shared insights from his experiences:
“Sometimes, resetting and starting afresh is the therapy you need. There’s a huge blessing in forgiving, repenting, and learning from past mistakes. Here’s to a more prosperous 2025.”
