KBC Snatches Popular TV Show From BBC. Will They Hack Maintaining The Status Quo?

The British Broadcasting Corporation is one of the most established international media houses in the world. Alongside CNN, Al Jazeera and other media houses, BBC has been in place for so long that its achievement in informing the globe is just insuperable.

It has its branches in almost every part of the world, with Kenya not left out. This explains why BBC Sema Kenya was invented to look into issues affecting Kenyans and put them into perspective.

BBC Sema Kenya was first launched at KTN before their contract ran out and they shifted to State-owned KBC where it has been running to date.

The programme’s main objective is to reach out to Kenyans in various parts of the country and give them a platform to air their views, plight and grievances.

And now news reaching Ghafla Kenya indicate that KBC has officially acquired the program and it will own it very soon to make it its own.

It is understood that the state-owned broadcaster has already started training staff who will be covering it from the remote areas of the republic.

Among those who made BBC Sema Kenya a success is KBC’s Bonnie Musambi alongside others.

Ghafla Kenya reported a few days ago that Bonnie is headed for the exit from KBC to Radio Maisha who have been pursuing him to be part of their glittering team. In case he leaves who will replace him now that KBC has acquired the program?

Only time will tell.
