Joyce Omondi Reveals Gripping Details Of Her Wedding To Citizen TV’s Waihiga Mwaura
Their relationship was shrouded in secrecy that Kenyans only learnt they were an item a few days to their wedding. Joyce is now letting the public into her life.
Last December, on 18th to be precise, Citizen TV’s sports anchor, Waihiga Mwaura and gospel singer Joyce Omondi became the second last celebrities to wed in 2015.
The public didn’t know many details about the invites-only wedding that took place at some ritzy holiday resort in Naivasha.
Joyce Omondi has since decided to open up about her wedding. The gospel songbird revealed she wore the same veil her mother donned on her wedding day.
Joyce says the mom safely kept the veil for her till her big day. She says the veil perfectly matched her gown.
Talking of gowns, the singer also revealed her wedding dress was designed by her childhood friend who was also her maid of honor.
“And then there was this gown! It was such a joy designing it with my best friend Naomydesign who has been the sister I never had since childhood. She totally brought the design to life with her amazing tailoring skills! The sentimental value of what I wore that day is something I will always treasure, a reminder of two incredible women who have stood with me through the highs and lows of my life and loved me so graciously. How I love and thank them both immensely!” Excited Joyce Omondi disclosed.
