Joshua Sang’s Daughter Graduates in His Absence (PHOTOS)

Yesterday, the ICC denied radio journalist Joshua Arap Sang excusal to be absent from the trials in The Hague to attend his daughter’s graduation on today with the judges arguing that the excusal did not meet the meaning or threshold of exceptional circumstances.

However, the graduation ceremony went on in Sang’s absence this morning. Unity Brown Sang, Sang’s lovely 6 year old daughter graduated from kindergarten in one of the leading schools in Nairobi. Take a look;

Sang wanted to be there for his daughter on her day and keep his promise to her by asking for the day off. He had even assured her that he will be during the graduation but that was never to be. And now the young girl will not understand why he did not attend because the girl is not able to understand the ICC proceedings.
