Joseph Hellon Long Before He Became Dapper: The Ratchet Years (PHOTO)

Hellon has cultivated an image of an ever dapper jazz maestro -you know the type. A ladies man. Always suited and booted and ready to play a tune on his saxophone. And what I am wondering is how someone this dapper could look so ratchet in a not so distant past.

But I guess that’s why people talk about having a past and when the time comes for reminiscing, we would never believe how far their journey in life has brought them. And I am now a firm believer in that.

So that is why I feel we should celebrate our journeys. Celebrate where you came from with the same vigour as Drake when he sang, “Started from the bottom…”
