JKUAT And Moi Universities Give President Uhuru A Head Start In 2017 Elections With A Kes 17 Billion Laptop Deal
Laptop project was a key pillar of Jubilee government but three years have since elapsed and not all primary schools in Kenya were supplied with computers. This is to change with the Moi and JKUAT Kes 17 billion laptop deal.
Moi University and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology should be an example to be followed by other institutions of higher learning on the Kenyan soil.
While students at Chuka University are busy burning up campus, Moi and JKUAT are setting a completely different trend to be emulated by other heckling students.
The two pacesetters have just landed a Ksh 17 billion deal to supply laptops to all primary schools in Kenya, an invention that saw some Kenyan students experience sleepless nights to come up with the perfect master piece.
Beating top institutions both local and international, University of Nairobi included, the two have made the country proud of their efforts to improve learning conditions in the country, a step aimed at digitizing the younger generation.
With JKUAT set to supply 21 counties with their inventions, Moi together with another South African firm will be managing the supply, installation and commissioning of the digital learning for schools in 26 counties.
In an attempt to equalize the seriousness in higher learning institutions, we look forward to see the rioters’ inventions too.
