“I QUIT. Why? My Talent Is Too Strong To Be Killed…” YY Rants As He Quits Churchill Show Amid Claims Of Mass Exodus Of Comedians In Protest Of Churchill’s Peanut Pay Among Other Issues
Churchill Show comedians are on a go slow and some have already QUIT the show altogether!!
Ghafla! Was alerted something was terribly wrong at Churchill Show by comedian YY’s post on social media.
YY officially quit the show saying his career was being killed and he couldn’t stand and do nothing:
“It was nice being on CHURCHILL SHOW.I loved it and appreciated but #IQUIT.why? my talent is too strong to kill by Computer Desktops, my God is more powerful too…No pleasing Human in good faith #God’speed”
Fellow comedian, Njoro, wished him the best in his endeavors.
“All the best in all your endeavors bro…God is good…#nikonawewe” Njoro commented
Ghafla! contacted a Churchill Show comedian (name withheld) who spilt the beans on what was going on there.
The comedian told us Churchill Show humorists were being paid peanuts. He said they had the fame but they had no money to show.
“Tunaishi vibaya, wasee wanatuona kwa TV na hatuna kakitu” The comedian told Ghafla!
He also said there was favoritism and victimization of comedian. He cited the case of YY who complained of having his scenes chopped off from Churchill Show’s episode that is shown on TV.
He said despite some comedians having explosive sessions during recording, they won’t see their performance on Sunday when Churchill Show is aired on NTV.
The source also told Ghafla! Comedians are victimized by their boss Churchill whenever they complain of this and that.
“Tumekua warned tusiongee na media. Tumeambiwa we are being watched na tutakua penalized for speaking to the media since anasema (Churchill) anajua kila kitu ikihappen.” The source confided in Ghafla!
The source further revealed there was an emergency meeting this afternoon to address the go slow. Ghafla! Was told comedian AKA has decided to boycott the meeting.
