How Garissa University Survivors Were Welcomed At Moi University, Eldoret

 

Seven weeks down the line since Al Shabaab insurgents attacked Garissa University killing 147 people, majority of them students, survivors of the second worst terror attack on Kenyan soil have finally been absorbed by Moi University.

Garissa University College was a constituent of the Eldoret-based institution of higher learning and the government had requested that survivors be absorbed by the institution.

It was a bee hive of activities at the institution as it welcomed the survivors.

Those who spoke to the media said they were glad to return to class but are still traumatised by the fact they lost many of their friends during the attack.
