Here Is The Of List African Pilgrims Including Kenyans Who Were Killed In Saudi Arabia Stampede Which Was Blamed On African Worshippers
Kenyan pilgrims were among the over 700 people who were killed in Saudi Arabia during ‘stoning the devil’ ritual in the tent city of Mina, in the outskirts of Mecca.
Saudi Hajj chief was quick to point out an accusing finger on ‘pilgrims with African nationalities’ for the stampede even before figures were released to show just how many African worshippers were thrashed to death.
The continent lost over 289 people during the wild rush in the tent city. Nigeria is leading sub-Saharan countries in the number of casualties.
Only 3 pilgrims from Kenya have been reported dead so far. The neighboring Tanzania lost four of its citizens during last Thursday’s stampede.
