Only the smallest stations in the smallest markets are completely ignoring social media. Any conscious TV station, large or small, is participating on social media, more Twitter than Facebook. And the same goes for TV shows.

Twitter’s popularity has increased and so has the tendency to use it as a success and/or relevancy meter.

So, for the first time in Kenya, Capital FM and OdipoDev have partnered to break down the weekly popular Kenya TV shows on Twitter just like the Nielsen’s Twitter TV rating in the US which measures the audience interaction when the show is on air.
