“He Inspired Me Into Independent Content Production After I Quit Employment” Alex Chamwada Joins Kenyans In Mourning The Death Of Kariithi Murimi
When he quit his job at Citizen TV, Alex Chamwada’s career seemed to be fading in a dark future but he surfaced as an independent content developer for KTN. The man who inspired him to glory has since passed on.
Kenyans have been sending condolences following the sudden demise of Kariithi Murimi, one of the most respected economists Kenya has ever had. Kariithi regularly appeared on TV to discuss matters economy.
The deceased was once a chairman of National Social Security Fund (NSSF) plus was an astute business person with vast business interests.
Kariithi passed on last evening, the cause of his death is yet to be established. Alex Chamwada mourned the deceased revealing the pivotal role he played in his career as an independent journalist.
“After quitting employment, I remember economic analyst Kariithi Murimi giving me tips on consultancy. He is among my mentors who inspired me into independent content production and told me that my greatest resource was not money but networks and experience. He told me, “be bold and go out there to give us exclusive, informative and unmatched content; content that transforms lives.” I will always remember his input in my shows ‘The Chamwada Report’ and ‘Daring Abroad’. And he has been watching them religiously, always giving me valuable feedback. We at CHAMS Media Productions will miss his contribution. May he RIP” Chamwada eulogized Kariithi.
