Has President Uhuru Cancelled the ‘Jicho Pevu’ Set to Expose What Happened at 2013 Polls? Mohammed Ali Speaks

KTN is currently running promos for its latest investigative pieces; that promise to expose what really took place during the hotly contested 4th March 2013 polls. However, for the better part of Friday and Saturday, there were widespread rumours online that the twin exposes would not be aired after all.

According to Kenya Today, President Uhuru called the Standard Media Group’s top CEOs and warned of ‘unspecified consequences’ should the media house go ahead to air the story.

The online political news site further purported that Mohammed Ali and John Allan Namu are already in hiding over their exposes that indicate “that Kenyans will for the first time get a glimpse of the worst electoral manipulation ever in the history of political pluralism in Kenya.”

But what do Moha and Allan Namu have to say about this?

Well, according to the two KTN investigative journalists, the rumours are just that: rumours.

Over the weekend, both Moha and Namu tweeted that the exposes will go on as scheduled dispelling earlier allegations.

“No need to worry. Avoid the rumours. We are on.”

“We are on an scheduled. Rumours are just that.”
