Harambee Starlets squad unveiled for continental showpiece

Harambee Starlets coach David Ouma has named his provisional squad of 21 players who will represent the country at the African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) championships in Yaoundé , Cameroon.
The team jetted out of the country for Cameroon on Friday morning and will be based in Limbe, a coastal city located some 300km away from Yaoundé.
Kenya has been drawn in the “group of death” B alongside champions Nigeria, Ghana and Mali.
 
However, the Starlets will miss out on the services of top scorer Neddy Atieno who was recently recruited by the Kenya Defence Forces.
The list includes three goalkeepers, eight defenders, five midfielders and five strikers in Cameroon.
