The theme for this year’s, (2016) International Womens Day is ‘Pledge For Parity” which means the state or condition of being equal, especially regarding status or pay for all women in the world.

And truly, one industrious Kenyan who is making the loudest statement of parity is media mogul and music impresario Joe Kariuki through his AFWAB Amsha Mama campaign.

The entertainment heavyweight has organized a huge festival in Naivasha that will see women from all walks of life converge to share ideas, trade commodities, network and socialize…. In a way that has not yet been witnessed in Kenya. And may never be witnessed before.

Every woman, irrespective of who they are in society or where they come from, will get a free ticket to join other women in the historic Amsha Mama Festival.

Kenya’s edition of the amazing festival will be held at The Naivasha event at the Kedong Ranch in Naivasha on the 26th of March 2016. Organizers intend to replicate the roaring and massive massive success of the Dar Es Salaam event through electric performances, great showcase of art and a sea of enthusiastic women in attendance.

Speaking to journalists during the launch of the electric festival in Dar es Salaam, a thrilled Joe said, ‘Let’s be aware progress has slowed in many places across the world, so urgent action is needed to accelerate gender parity more so in Africa where much help is needed… Amsha Mama Festival is the well from which we will flood the entire continent with parity for our mothers, sisters and wives”

Brilliant words from a brilliant mind!

Well well well… Make your way to Naivasha and join other fabulous women in the grandest, gloriest, glitziest, biggest and most powerful women convention ever hosted in Africa  .

And to understand just what I am talking about, check out the photos from the Dar Es Salaam event. Absolutely mind-blowing!
