Governor Isaac Ruto Survives Near-Death Experience As His Chopper Is Forced To Land On Southern Bypass
After the late George Saitoti and Orwa Ojode died in an accident involving a Eurocopta chopper, one can only breathe a sigh of relief hearing Bomet Governor survived near-death experience while travelling in that brand of helicopter.
Choppers have been misbehaving of late! Just the other day two police helicopters crashed; one at Wilson Airport while the other one fell off from the sky in Mathera.
VIPs have also had a nerve-wrecking experience with helicopters. Last July DP Ruto was rescued in Kapedo after his chopper lost direction and ran out of fuel.

DP Ruto’s political nemesis had his share of near-death experience with a chopper yesterday; a Eurocopta AS350 carrying Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto, his bodyguard and the pilot made an emergency landing on southern bypass to avoid a tragic encounter.
The chopper which was scheduled to land at Wilson Airport was forced to touch down on an open field on Southern Bypass due to poor visibility caused by rains.
The incident which happened at around 6pm yesterday attracted curious passers-by who were keen to find out why the chopper made an emergency landing at an undesignated area.
The Bomet governor was picked by a private driver after the encounter while the chopper stayed there under the watchful eyes of the police until the next day when it was safely flown to Wilson Airport.
