Today,Gor Mahia is in Tanzania for a match against Tanzania’s Azam in the Kagame Cecafa Club Cup finals that is going down at the Dar es Salaam National Stadium. And the hype surrounding the fest is on another level.

 

Accompanying the legendary team to Tanzania was a host of notable personalities including serial hate speech defaulter Moses Kuria who,just recently,was in the news for not-so-savoury reasons.

Prior to the match,popular politicians,including President Uhuru Kenyatta,showed their unwavering support to the team. And not to be missed in the list of supportive politicians was CORD President Raila Odinga who,according to Robert Alai,contributed KES. 1 Million to the team. And pledged some Kes. 500,000 whatever the outcome. DP William Ruto piped in some Ksh. 500,000 for the team too.

 

 

According to sources,Azam’s Bocco has already scored one against Gor Mahia. Ouch. But the match goes on.

The flamboyance and glitz that Gor Mahia has famously exhibited throughout their colorful journey in soccer was still very evident and present in Dar es Salaam.
