Ghastly Road Accident Leaves 2 Dead and 5 Injured After a Matatu Was Shredded Into Pieces along the Infamous Salgaa Black-Spot (Photos)

The Salgaa trading centre along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway has become notorious for claiming Kenyan lives in the most brutal of ways over the past years.

In July, 7 family members perished in a grisly road accident while last year a Coast Bus’ brakes failed near Salgaa and smashed into a parked car killing three.

Now the infamous highway has claimed some more lives after a matatu rammed into a van and killed 2 people and injured five others.

Speaking to the Star, Salgaa OCPD Joseph Wamburi said that the matatu tried to overtake the van close to Nakuru Teachers Training College which led to a collision at 5.am this morning.

The matatu was a total wreck with part of the roof and sides sliced off. Here are pictures of the accident:
