GHAFLA POLL: With The Recent Maina And King’ang’i Debate On The Marital Property Bill, Would You Be Willing To Give Your Ex 50% Of The Property?

Maina and King’ang’i tackle some rather dicey topics. And the Marital Property Bill is one such topic. All week long Maina and King’ang’i have been moderating debate about whether or not a man must give his property to a woman he was once married to when they get divorced.

To be fair, in the era of working women, I do feel that is she contributed to the family property then indeed they should split everything according to the ratio of contribution and the man must take care of the children. What shocked me was when maina received calls from women whom he asked whether they would be willing to giove half if they were the bread earners, they gave a resolute “NO!” as their response.

So on this one women want to be molly coddled?

And so I want to ask you, would you give your spouse 50% of the property you both amassed during the time you were married or should that clause be utterly scraped?
