GHAFLA EXPOSED! This Is The SHOCKING Story Of How Honorable Florence Mutua Of Busia Borrowed A Ksh. 8 Million Loan,Refused To Pay Back And Is Now Pushing Over Ten Of Her Former Colleagues To Bankruptcy. SAD.

She’s one of the most vocal, abrasive and active CORD legislators from the Land of Ingoho. She’s flamboyant, stupid rich, glamorous, shrewd, tactical and highly-educated. And now, she’s a notorious loan defaulter.

She is Honorable Florence Mwikali Mutua, born in 1968 to an intertribal marriage between a Luhya father and a Kamba mother and is currently married to a Mr. Livingstone Waingah, her beloved husband who hails from Marachi North Ward, Butula, Bukuyudi Village.

In Busia, she is famously known as Mama County. And will be recognized easily for the life she fabulously lives, the posh cars she drives around in,her insatiable appetite for pricey jewellery and a penchant for the finest things in life.

Prior to joining politics, and attempting a stab at the Busia Women’s Rep seat, clinching it overwhelmingly,Mama Florence was an esteemed employee at the United Nations.

And even before joining the United Nations, she had worked at several other places including Aga Khan Hospital for 7 years as a Senior Medical Secretary in the Department of Surgery and Anesthesia.

Florence, who holds a Masters Degree in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi then joined politics quietly in 2010 before going for the newly-created Women’s Rep seat for Busia County Women’s Rep in 2012. She won the seat.

At the United Nations,Hon. Florence worked in various capacities for a good 13 years with her last position being that of a Senior Official in the Food Security Cluster, World Food Programme.

And that’s where the drama began.

In late 2012,Madam Florence took a very heavy loan from the UN Sacco promising to pay it all within a stipulated timeframe as required by the Sacco laws. Of course with an interest.

Florence took a whopping Ksh. 8 Million loan! All that money was to be used to fuel her journey into politics and to finance her costly campaigns for the Busia Women’s Rep seat.

The loan was granted. And Florence would end up with Ksh. 8 Million in the bank.

And as you all know, for you to qualify for a loan, you must provide people who will stand in for you who are known as guarantors. These people are usually your ticket to loan success as they testify in your behalf and even promise to pay back the loan in the event that you default and are unable to pay.

The guarantors that Florence picked were some ten co-employees of the UN,also members of the UN Sacco.

These ten people, who made much less money than Florence were sweet talked into standing in for her and they swore to be her guarantors and to pay back the Ksh. 8 Million Loan in case she failed to pay up.

And then they were in for a rude shock.

Within months,Florence had resigned from the UN to concentrate on her new-found calling – Politics. And she left with the hefty eight million bucks.

‘Florence is a very skilled communicant… She sweet talked all of us,convinced us beyond doubt that she would pay and sweetly begged us to stand in as her guarantors. We agreed. She was too convincing, she was our boss,we knew she would easily pay,she was making a massive salary. We couldn’t say NO to her… We had never ever doubted Florence’s ability to keep her word… ‘ the source anonymously told Ghafla.

But after Florence left the UN,and won the elections, her obligations to the UN sacco ended abruptly, she became a whole new person, she immediately cut contact with the other Sacco members, shut out all of the ten guarantors from her life and graduated to the life of a busy,much-sought after, super wealthy and powerful and influential Member of Parliament.

‘After her ascent to power, after her election, everything changed. She was not Florence anymore. Our former colleague and friend. She was Honorable Florence. A totally different creature…. ‘

Before she started defaulting, Florence had paid back some Ksh. 2 Million. And after much protests and an exchange of many emails, she paid up another measly Ksh. 200,000. And then she STOPPED paying. Completely.

‘Florence stopped paying back her loan. And stopped picking our calls. We sent her hundreds of emails. All of which went unanswered. Our text messages remained unanswered too. We literally begged her to pay her loan. And nothing worked. At some point, she even sent her personal assistant to talk to us. Personal assistant! Can you imagine that!? What are we going to talk about with a personal assistant who doesn’t even know us!?? ‘

And after things became too bad,the UN sacco had to strike. And strike it did.

‘Last month,we were all summoned to an Urgent meeting. A meeting that was to determine our fate and our financial future. And we given the shocking news,we were now told that we would from then henceforth be held accountable for Florence’s loan. And that we would pay it all up for her. Including the massive interests it had accrued. We almost collapsed. ‘

Normally, when someone fails to pay up a loan, the guarantor/s is expected to stand in for that person and pay the loan themselves. There are no two ways about it.

‘I personally have saved as much as Ksh. 2 Million in that Sacco. And now all that money will be taken away to pay off a loan someone else took. A loan someone has flatly refused to pay even with such a huge salary from Parliament. We are staring at bankruptcy. We are living in absolute fear. We’ve been absolutely unsuccessful in getting Florence, our former colleague and close friend,to pay off her loan and set us free… ‘

No amounts of pleads and begs made Florence change her mind. No amounts of emails worked. She went mute. And totally shut the ten guarantors off her now fantastic life.

‘All of us are now imminently going to lose all our little savings in the Sacco. And we’ve been expressly told that our salaries will be massively affected until the remaining millions of Shillings have all been paid off. If you understand saccos and how loans work, you will know that this is not a laughing matter… ‘ the source told us,almost coming to tears.

‘I have a small family I have been saving for, ‘another one of the guarantors told Ghafla. ‘People in UN are employed on contract, not on a permanent basis. We can loose our jobs anytime. The little I make is really just enough for my young family. But now I have to lose it all to the Sacco. Just because some powerful Member of Parliament has refused to honor her pledge. How am I expected to pay off millions of Shillings I never spent? Florence please,we ask you in the name of God,have mercy on us… ”

And the saddest part of the lamentations came,

”We are basically her slaves. Our lives depend on her now…Our future is in her hands. Surely, she can free us from this financial bondage…”

The ten people who acted as Florence’s guarantors and who are now being forced to pay off her millions of Shillings loans are ;

Edward Githure
Lenson Mayaka
Irene Kanini
Emily Oneko (daughter of Freedom Fighter Ochieng Oneko)
Vincent Odhiambo
Esther Mathenge
Eunice Kimbwarata
Shadrack Kimeu
Margaret Nderitu
Josephine Mochino and
Titus Njogu

Ghafla’s numerous calls to Mheshimiwa Florence Mwikali Mutua went unanswered. Clearly, she must be too busy.

It must be noted that Florence also sits in two key Committees in parliament namely;

The Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Cooperatives, and The Committee on Regional Integration Secretary in KEWOPA and is also interestingly the Kenyan Ambassador for Women in Parliament.

And as an elected Women’s Rep for Busia,Florence pockets over Ksh. 500,000 Shillings per month as salary. And with the numerous perks and allowances that such a VIP attracts, her monthly pay easily runs into the neighborhoods of Ksh.1 million per month meaning she can very easily afford to pay off her loan. Even within an year if she’s determined.

We were also reliably informed that Hon. Florence is constructing a massive Hotel back in Busia . A hotel that will easily cost her more than the loan she took…

‘Instead of spending millions to put up a hotel, how about paying off her old loan and freeing us from the hell she has put us into?”, one of the guarantors wondered to us. ”We truly don’t deserve this!”

Is Florence ever going to pay back the loan? And free her former colleagues who now stand to lose everything they ever worked for and saved just to pay off the loan on her behalf?

Mama Busia,if you are reading this,it’s not too late. PAY UP NOW. You cannot be be called Mheshimiwa and conduct yourself with so much dishonorable behavior.

Outrageous.
