I received an email the other day with a track that Wangechi has done titled “Push” with her autobiography. I find such mundane facts uhm… Boring. I am all about the substance withoput the boredom. actually, the email arrived a couple of days before my return but no one wanted to touch it. They all felt only i would do this track justice.

i am not Jeff ergo our writing styles are different. i prefer to keep thing light and egotistical. He is more… suit-and-tie in a manner of speaking.

So no, I will not tell you the tale of how she was born and has grown up! This is not the discovery channel and besides,

Anyway, in the nature of mixtapes -yes this song is off her mixtape titled “Consume”- the track samples some classic hip hop beats but the lass does anything but disappoint! The lass is nothing but sheer revelation in as far as hip hop is concerned!

And I am something of a hip hop purist! If it isn’t hip hop, it’s garbage as far as i am concerned so trust me when I say the track push is an offering worthy of Uncle Chim Tuna’s listening!

The song’s content tells a tale of a woeful night out when a lad who stammers attempts to hit on our heroine. she lets us know that this is going to be a long night for her but the deejay saves her by playing her favourite tune. But lad just won’t relent -I’m sure alot of lasses can relate to this!
