Ghafla! Exclusive: KBC’s Radio Taifa Presenter Geoffrey Kwatemba Turns Down 6 Digit Salary To Host Breakfast Show With Renown Radio Personality Vincent Ateya on Milele FM

Apparently the salary he was offered wasn’t handsome enough to make him salivate after a career boosting radio job.

Milele FM has been keen to absorb Ateya back on top of giving him a new co-host. The Kenyatta owned station had literally poached KBC Radio Taifa Presenter Geoffrey Kwatemba.

Kwatemba is a radio host-cum-gospel singer with one of the most Golden radio voice we have in Kenya. His voice on radio will make you glued and the way he interacts with his listeners. He hosts Tumaini La Taifa 4-6am on weekdays and Mwamba Wa Baraka 4-10am on Sundays gospel show alongside Joyce Kahiga. The Sunday show has made him win a big name on radio.

Kwatemba was approached by Milele FM to host the breakfast show alongside Vincent Ateya. The station was offering him a cool 6 figure salary amid other perks which he turned down much to the attention of the management.

Milele FM were keen on taking him into service that they issued him an employment letter. He was to report on duty on November 1st.

But Kwatemba declined Milele FM’s spiced salary to continue with his job at KBC and it remains unknown why he turned down such a lucrative deal, rumour has it that at the moment Kwatemba is on negotiating table with one of the most listened to national radio station to take up a gospel show of the station among other duties.

He is also the voice behind numerous Luhya hit songs like; ‘Omwoyo’, ‘Yohana’ and ‘Kwekanile’ Efforts to reach him have not amounted to much.
