Yvonne Nelson Rocks in Kente ‘Slit And Kaba'( Picture of The Week)

Have you ever imagined how your favourite celebrity will look like in a kente cloth or yet still in ‘slit and kaba’?

A picture spotted by Ghafla.com on the official Intagram page of Mensahblogs has the ever dashing Actress, Model and Film Producer and Entrepreneur, Yvonne Nelson looking purely Ghanaian and gorgeously inspiring in A Kente cloth. Of course, Fridays are African Wear Day and Yvonne did absolute Justice to that. She really does look purely Ghanaian. There’s no doubt she has won our picture of the week.

The current current President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo has sought many ways to promote Ghanaian products. One of such current attempts is the appointment of 30 celebrity ambassadors by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture to help sell out Ghana to the world.

This initiative has been applauded by many Ghanaians both around and outside the country. Many are of the view that this is the best way to sell Ghana because our celebrities are the ones who are actually carrying Ghana out there.

Perhaps, the next time there is any red carpet event, we are going to see more of these and many more of our celebs rocking in African Prints especially in ‘Slit and Kaba’.
