We Will Not Tolerate Abusive Words From Artistes – Chatterhouse C.E.O
Mrs. Theresa Ayoade, has stated that they will not accept any abusive words from musicians. Mrs. Ayaode is the Chief Executive Officer of Chatterhouse, organizers of Ghana’s biggest musicians awards event.
She was speaking at the nominees’ party of 2018 edition of Ghana music awards. The party came off on Saturday night at the Movenpick Hotel .
Mrs. Ayaode’s comments follows many confrontations by artistes towards the awards board.
Organizers of the awards event and the VGMA board have been receiving lots of backlashes from artistes for years now.
There are some artistes who get angry for being absent in the nominees list despite their handwork. However, this seems to happen almost every year.
Hence, they tend to ‘attack’ the board especially with their comments as ghaflagh.com has noted.
According to her, they will welcome every criticism in good faith. But they will seek legal redress if they feel their rights have been trampled upon.
Mrs. Theresa Ayoade advised that, musicians can be upset in case they feel their expectations are not met.
That notwithstanding, she is pleading with them to pour out their grievances in a civilized manner.
She noted that musicians can be upset or angry in case their expectations are not met. Adding that, she is however pleading that they pour out their grievances in a civilized manner.
“You can be upset, you can be angry but please address your grievances in a civil way, so we can work together to build the industry”
Mrs. Ayaode affirmed that their organization is a listening one as well as one that welcomes suggestions.
Adding that that’s why they keep making changes every year.
