One notable among them is the Head of Communications for Zylofon Media, Sammy Atuobi

Baah popularly known as Sammy Flex.

According to him, the death of one of its tireless officials, Willi Roi is too shocking.

In an interview with Showbiz on Monday, February 11, Sammy Baah said although Willi Roi had

not been feeling too well, they didn’t think the illness was that serious for him to die.

According to him, his death is not only a big blow to Zylofon Media but the entire entertainment

industry.

“Despite his utterances Willi Roi did a great job in the entertainment industry. He worked with so many great artistes including Femi Kuti and Daddy Lumba,” he said.

Sammy Baah said a team from Zylofon Media would visit the Police Hospital where Willi Roi’s

body has been deposited, at 10 am on Monday to get some answers into his death.

“The death of Willi Roi still remains strange to us and we are asking the police to do an autopsy to ascertain the cause of his death before his body is handed over to his family,” he said.

For Sammy Baah, the death was a heavy blow considering the fact that Zylofon Media was

already going through some challenges.

“It is very unfortunate we have lost an influencer like Willi Roi at the time the company is going through difficult times. We actually wish it was not true but it’s unfortunate it is true,” he said

He described the music producer as a team player who was so passionate about his work.

Willi Roi, who was a musician, songwriter, producer among others, had about 40 years

experience in the showbiz industry. He was an outspoken pundit on Zylofon’s morning show, Showbiz Agenda.

His comments sometimes offended people’s sensibilities and there were calls for him to be

Meanwhile, all kinds of speculations are going on on social media about what could have killed him.

Photos: Nana Appiah Mensah Finally Resolves Shatta Wale And Stonebwoy ‘Beef’?

I don’t think anyone needs an introduction to the ‘beef’ between Ghanaian dancehall artistes, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.

The two stars have been in the news for a while now due to their rivalry. It even got worse when they both got signed onto the same record label, Zylofon media.

Stonebwoy recently released a song dubbed ‘Dirty Enemies’ believed to be a diss at Shatta Wale.

Shatta Wale on the other hand also dropped his titled ‘No Mercy For The Cripple’ and we all understood his message.

Many Ghanaians have therefore been worried about the rivalry between these two acts. Some believe it’s a healthy competition for the music industry. Others on the other hand also maintain that it’s rather destroying their careers and the industry as a whole.

However, it looks like their ‘father’ CEO of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah has been able able calm the storm between these two artistes.

Nana Appiah and his Zylofon Media Family on Sunday graced the Akwasidae festival of the Asantes in Kumasi.

All Zyofon artistes, including Shatta Wale and Stonebowy were spotted at the events ground.

However, what has caught the attention of many Ghanaians are some photos of the two artistes with Nana Appiah.

The two artistes were seen chatting and laughing heartily with Nana Appiah holding their hands whilst standing in between them.

Many Ghanaians have since expressed joy seeing these two acts together. Others too congratulated Nana Appiah for his relentless efforts in making peace between these two artistes.

Some also prayed for peace to remain between them.

Stonebwoy Back With Zylofon Media

It’s been weeks of topsy-turvy now as to whether Stonebwoy is still a member of the Zylofon Media Family or not.

Stonebwoy in an interview with Joy FM’s MzGee indicated that he was never going back to Zylofon Media for reasons best known to him.

The artiste indicated that he was done with the label and nothing was going to make him go back.

Meanwhile, the Media giants on the other hand maintained that he is still their artiste.

That aside, Stonebwoy refused to show up for a show he had been billed to perform on. It seems he rather performed at where the media outlet was rather not in support.

All these coupled with a few other hullabaloos made many Ghanaians believe the ‘Tomorrow’ crooner has part ways with Zylofon Media.

But it seems Stonebwoy could not stay true to himself and his promise of not going back there.

The Zylofon Media family on Sunday April 8 attended the Akwasidae Festival in Kumasi.

Surprisingly, Stonebowy was also part of the delegation from the media outlet.

He was part of the Zylofon Media entourage that paid a courtesy call on the Asante King, Otumfour Osei Tutu.

Many Ghanaians have therefore in a confused state as they do not know what to believe anymore.

There’s A New Development Between Me And Zylofon Media, Ghanaians Will Hear Of It Soon – Stonebwoy

Multiple award-winning Dancehall/Reggae, Stonebwoy has hinted of new developments between him and media his second record label, Zylofon media.

Since the brouhaha between these two party broke out, many have always been asking if Stonebwoy is still a Zylofon Media artiste.

Though the CEO of Zylofon Media , Nana Appiah Mensah has confirmed that he still is, there still seems to be a topsy-turvy somewhere.

Stonebwoy, real name, Livingstone Etse Satekla on the other hand seems to have lost any interest in the media giants.

Speaking in an interview with JoyNews’ MzGee, the ‘Bawasaba’ hitmaker refused to disclose the details of his current status with the media house.

According to him, he didn’t want to touch on that issue. He however emphasized that there are developments. Adding that he didn’t want to break the ice now. He stated that it’ll be clear once it’s broken, promising that it will be devoid of any controversies.

Stonebwoy speaks;

I may not want to go there, but one thing I want to say is that there are developments. I’ve never come out to mention any contractual clause or whatsoever. Anything I say is what is the truth, legally and whatever. And as far as I’m concerned, there’s a development, Ghana will hear it. But it’s for peace, calmness, growth and progress,” he said.

The colourful video was shot by Zylofon Media’s in-house video director Abass.

“I Swerve You” by Joyce Blessing is tipped to be one of the biggest songs released so far in 2018.

The release of the video clashes with the current chaos between her record label and label mate Stonebwoy. That notwithstanding it is doing very well on the Ghanaian market. You’re Better Off With Zylofon – Rex Omar Tells Stonebwoy

Legendary Highlife musician, Rex Omar has added his voice to the seeming chaos between Zylofon Media and Dancehall act, Stonebwoy.

According to him, Stonebwoy has a better prospect with a Ghanaian record label than that of a foreigner. Hence his advise to the ‘My Name’ crooner is not to quit the firm.

Rex Omar Speaks;

“I’ll tell Stonebwoy that he’s better off with a Ghanaian record label that believes in our music. This is someone who is Ghanaian and has a certain vision for the industry. And so you are always better off with him. A Nigerian can sign you with the money you want only to shelve you and then promote the Nigerian musician because the identity comes first in this music industry,” he said.

He, however, urged the leadership of Zylofon to tame some of their staff.

“I believe the structures at Zylofon has to be done right and some people there be tamed”, he told Bola Ray on Starr  Chart.

Stonebwoy and Zylofon have developed a cold relationship following the signing of rival Shatta Wale onto the label.

However, the CEO of Zylofon Media on Tuesday rendered an apology to the BHIM Nation President. This follows the nasty clash between Stonebwoy and Bulldog at the Champs bar over the weekend. According to reports, Bulldog had led some officials of the media house to the bar to seize Stonebwoy’s car. The CEO, Nana Appiah Mensah has also confirmed that Stonebwoy is still an artiste of the record label.

Meanwhile, the reports have it that the Transport manager at Zylofon has been fired over the incident.

Management Bans Willi Roi From Zylofon FM

Management of Zylofon Media has banned its Head of Arts Club, Willi Roi from participating on Zylofon FM.

Willi Rio has been banned from participating in the station’s “Showbiz Agenda” show and any other on-air programmes.

His ban follows his recent outburst on the radio station. His outburst coupled with some social media posts have come under severe castigation, putting his employers in the bad light almost all the time.

WILLI ROI

Mr. Roi’s Facebook posts;

“WHEN AN ARTISTE HAS NO SELF CONFIDENCE HE SEES HIS OWN SHADOW AS ENEMY By WilliRoi” and “EVEN SATAN
“WANTED OUT OF HEAVEN SO WE DONT CARE IF ARTISTE WANT OUT OF ZYLOFON #WilliRoi

These are some of his posts on Facebook that have come under lots of criticms. Mr. Roi’s posts follows the recent conflicts between the media outlet and Stonebwoy.

He was also reported to have called on security to sack a panelist from a live show for his views on the controversies.

Willi Roi has therefore been asked by Management to stay off all activities on live radio on Zylofon 102.1FM. This includes  his pundit role on ‘Showbiz Agenda’, the entertainment morning show on the dial until further notice.

According to a report sighted on Entertainmentgh, by Ghaflagh.com, Roi did not get the outright dismissal as many has anticipated. However, confirmed reports indicate that Management has banned him from participating in any programme on the radio station.

Sammy Baah, Head of Communications at Zylofon Media confirmed the decision by Management on Wednesday, March 14.

It is also not clear, if Willie Roi has also been barred from making appearances on other stations. However, he’s to now concentrate on his core job, training the up and coming stars at the Zylofon Arts Club.

(Video) Zylofon FM Throws Out A Panelist From Live Studio Discussion

The heat at Zylofon FM is getting hotter and hotter. It seems they’re not going to stop trending for the wrongs reasons for a while.

The new and latest brouhaha from the Zylofon Media outlet happened live. And from all indications, it seems the media outlet cannot stand criticisms considering what has just happened in their studios.

Head of the Zylofon Arts Club, Willi Roi has banned Ghanaian poet and critic, Kwame Agyemang Berko from the studios of Zylofon FM. This follows a heated argument on the role the A&R Manager at Zylofon media, Bulldog played which has resulted in the current conflict between the outlet and Stonebwoy.

Kwame Agyemang Berko did not mince words when he told them his candid view that Bulldog erred when he stormed the Paloma Hotel Premises to retrieve Stonebwoy’s car. According to him, all the current chaos could have been avoided if the right procedures and rule of law had been followed.

Tensions have been growing since the clash between Zylofon Media and Stonebwoy at Champs in Paloma Hotel over the weekend.

Many have even predicted a possible termination of contract between both parties since the incident though both parties have refused to confirm or deny this assertion.

But addressing the issues on Sammy Flex’s “Showbiz Agenda” program, Mr. Berko could not help but to put the blame on Bulldog.

For him, Bulldog should take responsibility for the clash between the two teams which led to some gunshots being fired.

Now, Willi Roi got angry over the candid view of Kwame Agyemang Berko live on the show.

Mr. Roi, unable to stand the harsh truth described the statement as baseless. Before we knew it, a security man had been called into the studio attempting to drive Mr. Berko out of the studio.

“How can you compare this media firm to Stonebwoy and say this place is pale. Next time you bring this guy here, I’m actually going to deal with you Sammy Flex.

If this place is pale, then what are you doing here. Don’t you give him allowance when he comes here, don’t we give him money? Security get this guy out of here. He’s not supposed to be here. In fact, he should never come back here.” Mr. Roi lashed out.

After releasing the song, Kumi Guitar took to social media to wish fans a happy new week. Little did he know his post was going to earn him lots of backlashes an the the fury of a section of the public.

His release follows the recent misunderstanding between Stonebwoy and Zylofon Media.

Earlier, He had granted an interview on www.ghanaweb.com where he did not mince words at describing his record mate, Stonebwoy as ungratefu, selfish and greedy.

According to him, the current posture of Stonebwoy is a threat to the progress of Zylofon Media and to him as well. Adding that, Stonebwoy  was already Stonebwoy before the label signed him alright. Nevertheless, he cannot say Zylofon Media has not done anything for him since he was signed onto the music label.

“We have to learn to give back to people who are helping us. Stonebwoy can never say Zylofon media has done nothing for him. It was Zylofon Media that paid for all Stonebwoy’s expenses including his trips, recordings and his two major concerts which were held in Ashaiman and the National Theatre,” he said.

Many Ghanaians have however not taken kindly to his song at all. For this reason, they ‘roasted’ him when he took to Instagram and made this post;

Let’s be thankful for what we got! Happy New week fam! Don’t forget the #BetweenerChallenge is still on! Keep your videos coming. Thank you all for the love and support ??. #KumiGuitar #Betweener #ZylofonMusic? #5Star

He however described the Saturday night encounter as armed robbery incidence which could have caused anyone his or her life.

Stonebwoy Allegedly Fires Warning Shots At Bulldog For Attempting To Seize His Car

Over the weekend, there were several rumors that Stonebwoy has resigned from Zylofon Media.

Many other stories have since preceded this particular one.

However, information reaching Ghaflagh.com has it that Stonebwoy has allegedly fired warning shots at Bulldog.

This incident according to sources happened at Champs Bar on Saturday night. According to reports, Bulldog, the A&R Manager at Zylofon led a group of ‘Machomen’ to forcefully seize Stonebwoy’s car. The car, a Mercedes Benz, according to reports was given to Stonebwoy as part of his contract deal with Zylofon Music.

According to Joy News reports, Kumi Guitar and Obinini as of 9 pm were waiting for their chance to mount the stage.

At the same time, Stonebwoy had finished performing. He however sent his younger brother to get a shirt for him from his car so he could change into it.

Bulldog and his team of ‘Machomen’, according to reports attacked him, trying to seize Stonebwoy’s car.

Stonebwoy getting hint of what was happening walks there. He began to fire warning shots at Bulldog and his ‘Machomen’ in a bid to prevent them from seizing his car.

Kumi Guitar Slams Pastor For Tagging CEO Of Zylofon Media As Occultist

Zylofon Music Signed artiste, Kumi Guitar has lashed out at Osofo Kyiri Abosom for saying the CEO of the firm is occultist.

Osofo Kyiri Abosom, real name Christian Kwabena Andrews is the General Overseer of Life Assembly Worship Center.

The controversial prophet said on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that, the young CEO acquired his wealth through blood sacrifices.

He also claimed that, all the musicians who have signed onto Zylofon Music, have sold their souls to the devil. According to him,the CEO is an occult and his wealth is not genuine but evil money meant to enslave people.

He indicated further that, all the musicians who have been signed onto the label are also going to be used to win more souls for the devil.

But reacting to claims by the prophet, Kumi Guitar, slammed the prophet, testifying to the great transformation the label has made on his life.

According to Guitar, his life has transformed significantly after joining Zylofon music.

‘’formerly I could not take care of my child nor pay for the medical bills but since I signed onto Zylofon Music, I have seen significant transformation in his life”, he said.

Kumi Guitar added, “Someone has decided to help the creative arts industry grow and you are making claims that he is an occult?”

He couldn’t fathom why the man of God failed to approach Nana Appiah Mensah on his so-called prophecy.

He further described the pastor as a fake prophet who is capitalizing on the popularity and success of the CEO to make himself relevant.

Kumi Guitar is among the six artistes the company has signed onto its record label so far. The number will however reduce to five if it’s really true that dancehall act, Stonebwoy has left the organization.

Nana Appiah Mensah Finally Breaks Silence On Zylofon – Stonebwoy- Shatta Wale Brouhaha

Zylofon Media has been trending on all major news as well as social media platforms for some days now.

It started with Shatta Wale reproaching Stonebwoy for donating to the accident victims at Korle-Bu Teaching hospital as part of his birthday celebrations last week.

And then we later heard that Stonebwoy had resigned from Zylofon Media.

But speaking on Accra-based Hitz FM, Bulldog indicated that the news is hoax.

According to him, he’s in charge of all the artistes at the media outlet and would know in case of any termination of contract by any artiste.

However, there is nothing on his desk that suggests that Stonebwoy wants to leave the record label.

Bulldog Speaks;

“I look after these artistes and if there is any termination, I’ll know about it but as I speak now there is nothing like that on my desk. I’ve seen the stories myself but there is no truth to it from where we stand. I don’t know if you have spoken to Stonebwoy‘s team yet but from my desk, there is nothing like that.

I know for a fact that we have no issues with him and everything is running smoothly. We met as a team on Thursday and everything is healthy,” Bull Dog told host, Andy Dosty.

Stonebwoy joined Zylofon Music in June 2017 on a 3-year record deal contract.

He asked Ghanaians not to take such reports seriously because Stonebwoy does not have intentions of leaving Zylofon Media.
