I’ll Summon Nogokpo & Antoa To ‘Kill’ Beneficiaries Of My Son’s Cash — NAM 1’s Father

Persons who benefited from the cash of the embattled Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of

Menzgold Ghana Limited, Nana Appiah Mensah alias NAM 1 have the dreaded Nogokpo

shrine in the Volta Region and the Antoa Nyamaa in the Ashanti Region to contend with,.

Father of NAM 1 on Accra-based Zylofon Fm on Tuesday in an interview monitored by this

portal, disclosed some respectful persons in Ghana including politicians benefited from about

$50 million cash of his son but have the nerves to sit on life radio to denigrate him as though he is a criminal.

He gave an indication that such persons will start dying if they fail to speak up on how much

the benefited in terms of cash from NAM 1 at the peak of his business which is now crumbling

reiterating his resolve to drag them all before two of the country’s most powerful shrines to get

justice for his arrested son.

“A lot of issues will come out. Some people are doing things which are very disgusting. Many people will die because we are going to invoke curses. People who have benefited from him are now on air claiming he is bad. We are not going to use guns but will curse them since they are refusing to admit”, he threatened.

Closing Down Zylofon Media Will Make Many Unemployed –  Sammy Flex

The Head of Communication at Zylofon Media, Samuel Atuobi Baah, popularly known as

Sammy Flex has hit hard at people, especially political parties which according to him

are trying their best to bring down Zylofon Media just for their political gains.

Sammy Flex is of the view that the two giant political parties in the country (NPP and NDC),

are just trying to ride on the current predicament of the embattled gold dealership firm,

MenzGold  to score some very cheap and unnecessary political points.

Speaking on his ‘Showbiz Agenda’ entertainment review show on Zylofon FM this yesterday,

he questioned the motive behind the press conferences which were called by the New Patriotic

Party and the National Democratic Congress yesterday, January 16, 2019.

check:https://www.ghafla.co.ke/gh/i-see-my-future-clear-ahead-despite-the-menzgold-saga-joyce-blessing/

According to Sammy, the only thing that these events achieved was to cause more pain

and horror for the customers who have their savings with the company.

The radio and TV presenter also stated that he was quite shocked yesterday when he heard

a communication person ask why Zylofon Media was still operating. In his submission,

he asked this unknown communication person if he has any company out there which

will be able to absorb or give all the people the company employs work once it is shut

down as he wants.

Sammy made the point that unlike him, many people the company employs may have a

problem and a challenge to get a job once the entertainment company is closed and as such,

he asked those who are going on the rampage with the call for the shut down of the

company should tone down a little.

We Would’ve Failed If We Had Organized Ghana Movie Awards 2018 – Zylofon Media

The Head of Communication at Zylofon Media, Samuel Atuobi Baah known in showbiz as

Sammy Flex has revealed the main reason why their outfit, Zylofon Media, decided to

disassociate themselves from last year’s edition of the Ghana Movie Awards even though they

had bought the franchise to organize the event for ten years from Fred Nuamah.

Speaking on his entertainment review show dubbed ‘Showbiz Agenda’ on Zylofon FM during the

Wednesday, January 9, 2018 edition, Sammy Flex said that they felt that they were not fully

prepared to organize an awards event that was befitting of their status as Zylofon Media and

as such, the decision they took.

Sammy Flex also added that even though they at Zylofon Media felt it would have been a big

failure if they had organized the awards last year, Fred Nuamah, the CEO of the awards

scheme thought otherwise.

He ended by stating that because they couldn’t reach an agreement with Fred on the need to

hold on with the awards for the last, they had to release a statement to disassociate themselves

from the awards which took place on December 30, 2018, and give Fred Nuamah the go-ahead

to organize it because he felt he was ready.

Zylofon Music Is In Financial Crisis – PRO Reveals

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Zylofon Music, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo has disclosed

that the record label is currently facing challenges. Speaking on Peace FM’s Entertainment

Review on Saturday, he noted that there has been a lull in the record label’s activities due to

a financial crisis.

In his explanation, Arnold said the challenges are as a result of the current problems the

parent company, Menzgold, is in.

“As we all know Menzgold has been facing some challenges in recent times and it is expected that as a sister company to Zylofon Music, the record label would encounter crisis too,” he stated.

This comes on the back of rumors that the company has asked some of its managers to

resign and that some of its artistes were about to exit the record label.

Even though Gospel musician, Joyce Blessing, has refuted claims that she has left Zylofon

Music record label, Arnold also stated on Peace FM that it is possible some of the artistes

may bail out on the company in the midst of the crisis.

“As we speak, Joyce Blessing is part of the record label. No artiste has left but the possibility of they leaving in times like this is imminent,” he told Graphic.com.gh in an interview.

At the moment some of the artistes are relying on their own means to promote their projects and craft.

Joyce Blessing is currently promoting her new single, Repent, which unlike previously, bears

no signature of Zylofon Music.

Zylofon Music stepped into Ghana’s entertainment industry in 2017 when they signed

Highlife musician, Kumi Guitar.

They later brought on artistes like Stonebwoy, Joyce Blessing, Becca, Obibini and Shatta Wale.

Founded by Nana Appiah Mensah, who also owns Menzgold, the Zylofon Media conglomerate

has under its umbrella other companies like the Zylofon Arts Club, Zylofon Arts Fund, Zylofon

Movies, Zylofon Cash, Zylofon FM and Zylofon TV.

At present, Menzgold Ghana Limited, a gold trading firm has been ordered by the Securities

and Exchange Commission to suspend its operations.

According to SEC, Menzgold does not have the license to trade in gold collectibles from the public.

He further mentioned that, just as Ghanaians lost “Azonto” music to Nigerians because we did

not appreciate its value, we may lose Zylofon.

Willi opined that, the Nigerian market is overpopulated in the area of entertainment. This, he is certain poses a threat to Ghanaians, should Zylofon be launched there.

Zylofon Media, after less than two years of existence in Ghana has expanded it’s wings to other countries.

The outlet has also introduced several schemes for Ghana’s entertainment industry. All these are in order to better the state of the industry.

Though Zylofon is in to help, Roi assumes that many Ghanaians have not accepted the initiative, which he deems worrying.

Our Artistes Are Doing Exceptionally Well – Zylofon Music

The establishment of Zylofon Media few years ago has been a major blessing to Ghana’s entertainment industry according to some industrial players.

However, the company has faced some major criticisms by some Ghanaians who believe it is rather retarding the success of their artistes.

According to some entertainment critics, artistes signed onto the label were doing well previously. However, they’re no more active after joining the label.

This has become a major topic for some people who believe that the label is not doing what it actually claims to be doing.

But the communications Director of Zylofon Music, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has discredited that assertion as a misconception.

According to him, the mission of the label is to support artistes to have local dominance as well as international appeal.

Some of the artistes, he stated had had an appreciable level of success before joining the label. Adding that the label is committed to giving them the best resources to go even higher.

“I don’t know and I have not heard of any of our artistes complaining about conditions. Besides, they are provided with all the resources they require to succeed. They are well placed and their welfare is catered for. That is the desire of every musician.

“However, we haven’t lost sight of the fact that our artistes need to make great gains in their career and that is what we are doing now. For instance, Kumi Guitar’s brand has been given a makeover from when he joined the label.

“The likes of Obibini, Becca, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and even Joyce Blessing are performing remarkably but we can’t expect the success rates of all the artistes to be at par. I admit there’s more room for improvement,

but this is a gradual process and eventually, things will fall in place,” he said.

In line with its pledge to provide the best of resources for its artistes, Zylofon Music has acquired new offices. These offices according to the company would also house its signees. Furthermore, Arnold says this falls within the label’s aim of becoming the biggest record label in Africa and beyond.

“It is unfortunate that people are wishing for the downfall of an entity which has come to the aid of artistes. That is very unfair because when Zylofon makes a lot of gains,

it will definitely attract other worthy investors to the industry.” He added.

Stonebwoy Hints Of Shatta Wale Collaboration

It seems the prayer of many Ghanaians especially fans of two of Ghana’s great musicians is about to be answered.

Zylofon Media label mates and long time nemesis seems to be finally ready to smoke the peace pipe.

Stonebowy, BHIM Nation boss has revealed that there would soon be a collaboration between him and Shatta Wale.

The “Bawasaba” hitmaker made this revelation when a social media user asked him if he would ever have a collaboration with his rival in the music industry.

The user asked; “Collaboration with Shatta Wale?”

Stonebowy however replied with, “Soon time”.

This however comes as a good news to many Ghanaians and fans of both artistes. Many have been calling on the two to make peace and collaborate on a song for a while now.

But the two artiste continued with their fight for supremacy in dancehall music even after being signed onto the same label.

Well, we surely know that a collaboration from these two acts will be nothing but a masterpiece and we just can’t wait for it.

I’m Not Ready To Discuss Anything In Relation To Zylophon – Stonebwoy Tells Journalist

Head of Burniton Music, Stonebowy says he is not ready to talk about his record label, Zylophon.

The dancehall act, made this revelation on the latest edition of Day Break Hits with Andy Dosty.

Asked whether or not his music videos were funded by Zylofon or not, the ‘My Name’ crooner declined to answer the question.

Instead, he stated that:

“I don’t want to talk about Zylofon right now, please,” he told the host, Andy Dosty.

Asked why the decision, Stonebwoy replied;

“Let’s keep on to the next thing with all humility and respect.”

There has been a scuffle between the multiple awards winner and his record label for sometime now.

Even though the label maintains that Stonebowy is still their artiste, actions from Stonebowy suggests otherwise.

For instance, his recent video for his hit song ‘Tomorrow’ has no zylofon music logo as it should have been.

This and many others have kept fans and Ghanaians asking if Stonebowy is still a Zylofon music signed artiste or not?

Meanwhile, Stonebwoy has hinted of the release of visuals of his music ‘Original’ soon.

Rex Omar To Drag Zylofon Media To Court For Copyright Infringement – Rex Omar

Veteran highlife musician, Rex Omar has announced a looming legal battle between him and fastest growing media outlet, Zylofon Media for copyright infringement.

Rex Omar made the shocking revelation Wednesday morning on “Neat FM’s Entertainment Ghana”.

He refused to to go into details as to why he would be dragging the biggest record company currently in Ghana to court. However, when probed further by host Kwame Adjietia, Omar reluctantly revealed that Zylofon Media used his music without his permission. Yet still, he refused to mention the particular song or track they used and what it was used for.

The Chairman of Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), said he values each of his songs at $1m. Hence, anyone/company who uses any of his music without his permission has stolen from him $1m.

He also disclosed that his lawyers have already written to Zylofon Media so details would be revealed in due time.

“My lawyers have written to them, so you would hear the details at the right time because they have money”.

Asked if he taking the legal action just for financial gains, Rex said; “They have appropriated my song and that is my property. As for me, my music is my property and I value every song I produce at 1million dollars. So if you take my music and you don’t tell me, you have stolen my one million dollar”, Rex emphasized.

Meanwhile, Rex Omar is currently in court with beverage manufacturing company Joy Industries. He sued the company for using a part of his hit song “Da da di da” to promote or advertise its product, Joy Dadi Bitters without his permission.

Ghanaians Should Shut Up About Nana Appiah Mensah’s Source Of Wealth – Bulldog

Head of A&R for music at Zylofon Media, Hanson Nana Asiamah, aka Bulldog has sounded a strong warning to Ghanaians who are questioning the source of his boss’ wealth.

Bulldog on Celebrity Fanzone last Saturday said he couldn’t fathom why Ghanaians keep asking for the source of Nana Appiah Mensah’s wealth.

As a result, he bluntly stated that “Ghanaians should shut up” when he was asked by co-host Chantelle Asante how his boss is funding his numerous business ventures. He added that since no one knows the source of wealth of other business owners out there, then Ghanaians should as well stop’ hating’ on Nana Appiah and allow him do his works.

“Why are people concerned with the source of the guy’s money? Ghanaians should shut up. I don’t know where your boss is making his money from. I never ask. People should just shut up. We live in a space where we hate.”

“You see Nana Appiah Mensah is doing something that a lot of people had the opportunity to do, people who own media houses and all that and they did not do. All of a sudden, the gentleman is here and doing a lot of good stuff and everybody wants to descend on him,” Bulldog stated.

He, however, revealed that his boss has been a gold dealer for the last six years, cautioning against unnecessary suspicions.

“My boss is a gold dealer and he is been doing this since 2012. We question people unnecessarily. Somebody is here to help. We keep doing this and people would fold up,” he argued.

Nana Appiah Mensah is the CEO of Zylofon Media. Aside this, he has other numerous businesses including Menzgold among others.

However, the business mogul has been confronted with the same question time without number by a section of Ghanaians; the source of his wealth.

Being so young, yet so rich and business minded, Ghanaians could only think of how he made his money and how he’s able to fund his numerous investments.

But Bulldog will have none of those, describing his boss as the ‘Jesus Christ’ of our time.

“Nana Appiah Mensah is the ‘Jesus Christ’ of our time. What he is doing 61 years of Ghana’s independence nobody has done it and after him nobody will come like him,” he said.

Sarkodie Finally Clears About Him Joining Zylofon Media

Multiple awards-winning rapper, Micheal Owusu Addo, best known as Sarkodie, dedunked rumours that he’s joining Zylofon Media.

There have been much publicity that the BET Award winner is going to be signed onto Ghana’s media giant, Zylofon Media.

Some reports even suggested that the ‘Highest’ album maker is moving to Zylofon to replace Stonebwoy who had had brushes with the label in recent times.

However, Sarkodie has debunked such rumors on ‘The Zone’ on Starr FM with host, KOD last Friday.

According to him, even though he respects and appreciates the contribution of Zylofon to the Ghanaian music industry. He however maintained that he is not joining them. He even likened the reports to an ‘April Fool prank’

“I think Zylofon is doing so well for the industry, and I respect what they are doing for the industry. For people to say I am going to Zylofon is more like an April fool prank,” he said.

About Zylofon Media

It is one of the fastest growing organizations in the country headed by Nana Appiah Mensah.

There are different outlets of the organization such as the Zylofon FM, Zylofon Music among others.

With over a hundred employees, one can say that the company has helped reduced the rate of unemployment in Ghana.

It recently expanded its territories to the United Kingdoms.

Zylofon has signed artistes such as Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Kumi Guitar, Becca among others.

Zylofon Media Boss Apologizes To Stonebwoy Over Weekend Brouhahas

Nana Appiah Mensah, CEO of Zylofon Media has extended an apology to the camp of dancehall act Stonebwoy.

It was reported that the A&R Manager at Zylofon Media, Bulldog, and Stonebwoy were engaged in a scuffle over the weekend at the Champs Bar in Accra.

According to reports, Bulldog had led some officials from the label who attempted to seize the Bhim Nation Boss’ car.

The clash between the two teams led to firing of gunshots by Stonebwoy as per reports.

Stonebwoy on the other hand has explained that he fired the shot in self defense against any gruesome attacks.

He however added that the car they wanted to seize from him is his own personal car and not that of the company’s as reports earlier indicated.

Ghanaians have since been following the turn of events at the Zylofon camp between these two teams.

Many have expressed their unhappiness at the current chaos at the camps of Zylofon Media.

Some have condemned Zylofon Media of being unprofessional in handling the current situation.  Others have also labelled the employees of the firm as incompetent and incriminating Stonebwoy due to the signing of Shatta Wale.

But reacting to the issue, Nana Appiah Mensah described the incident as “unfortunate” and strongly condemned the perpetrators.

He took to his tweeter handle to calm nerves and apologize to Stonebwoy and his team few hours after the incident.

Apparently, the whole incident is a miscommunication from the company’s Transport Manager.

His tweet reads;

“I apologize to team @stonebwoyb and all well wishers for the unfortunate ill incident that occurred. The transport manager exercised a discretion characterized by reflex and over exuberance. An act I vehemently condemn and discourage from our society.”

Stonebwoy Was Given A Week To Stay Or Leave Zylofon – Kumi Guitar Reveals

Zylofon Media’s first signed artiste, Kumi Guitar has revealed that dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy was given a week ultimatum to decide whether he still wants to work with the label or not.

The ultimatum, he said, was given to the Bhim Nation President in a meeting with the management of the media outfit about a week ago.

Kumi Guitar who said he didn’t want to talk about the controversies between his label and label mate said he had decided to spill the beans after the nasty turn of events at Legon Campus over the weekend.

“What really pushed me to start talking now is last Saturday, Legon had a show in collaboration with Zylofon and we were all billed to perform. We were there and were parked for a long while and a fan called me that they are pulling down all the banners we’ve used to brand the place in Zylofon’s name…so he was asking if the show is closed because he’s not seen us perform…” Kumi told Myjoyonline.com in an interview.

The ‘Betweener’ crooner said he couldn’t understand why Stonebwoy had to ask organizers to get rid off anything that had Zylofon printed on it.

Kumi, who wondered why Stonebwoy didn’t allow them perform quizzed whether an artiste having an issue with his label means he also has an issue with his label mates. “…if you have an issue with Zylofon, do you have an issue with me? No, do you have an issue with Obinini? No, do you have an issue with Joyce Blessing?”

The man who believes he influenced the establishment of Zylofon Media declined to comment on the nasty incident at the Champs Bar. He was however worried that if things continue the way they are now, Stonebwoy might succeed in pulling down Zylofon Media. Adding that, the downfall of Zylofon Media means his downfall as well.

“If these things keep happening and he [Stonebwoy] succeeds or people don’t get the picture right, he might succeed in pulling down Zylofon and if Zylofon is down, I am down,” the man who believes he influenced the establishment of Zylofon Media said.

He added noted that where there’s a contract issues must be resolved amicably. But if one party fails to fulfill their end of the contract, then the other party has to point it out.

Kumi  further disclosed that, Zylofon Media paid all Stonebwoy’s expenses including his trips, recordings and his two major concerts – one at Ashaiman and the other at the National Theatre.

According to Kumi Guitar, Zylofon Media paid all Stonebwoy’s expenses including his trips, recordings and his two major concerts – one at Ashaiman and the other at the National Theatre.

According to Kumi Guitar, Stonebwoy is pissed off because his arch rival was signed onto the same label with him.

“What I heard was that you got angry because Shatta [Wale] was signed… if you won’t give him what he wants, automatically he [Nana Appiah Mensah – Zylofon Media CEO] will fail to give you what you want or better still, he will go look for somebody who can do the job for him if you cannot do it,” he said.

Kumi again disclosed that Zylofon Media paid all of Stonebwoy’s expenses. This he said includes; his trips, recordings and his two major concerts – one at Ashaiman and the other at the National Theatre. He however believes that the Zylofon Media CEO did nothing wrong by signing Shatta since Stonebwoy is not a shareholder of Zylofon.

“He can bring the argument that maybe in his contract, they wrote that he is the one representing Dancehall so they shouldn’t bring somebody else. If you are representing Dancehall, it’s not just about representing but you also have to represent Zylofon. You are an ambassador representing Zylofon, how many times are you hashtagging Zylofon?…this is where our boss also has a problem and he has told you several times, you’ve gone for meetings?”

He admitted that Stonebwoy had made a name for himself before he was signed onto the label alright. But queried whether he can say that Zylofon Media has not contributed anything to his career since he was signed onto the label

“I’m starting to talk because I began this thing. Our boss wouldn’t have been in this industry. I was the one who spoke to him to do it and I wasn’t selfish. I told him to add people on board and then you [Stonebwoy] also are a beneficiary…yes he was Stonebwoy before we met him but can he say that Zylofon has added nothing to him?

You’ve been spoken to and then you’ve been given the opportunity to decide if you still want to be part of us as family…if you want to go also, you decide. For a week now you’ve not responded only for you to do this. Is it that you want to frustrate the investor or you want to frustrate Zylofon,” he questioned.
