My Lyrical Inspiration Comes From Smoking Weed – Ponobiom

Tema-based rapper, Yaa Pono aka Ponobiom has revealed the only thing that

inspires him to hit the studio and get the vibe going.

Ponobiom, in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz Fm said that his lyrical inspiration

comes from none other than smoking weed.

According to the “Gbee Nabu” hitmaker, he smokes but for a reason and his reason for smoking weed is that it is his major source of inspiration as it gives him more lyrics in the recording studio.

“My lyrical inspiration comes from smoking weed. I smoke before I enter the studio has but it’s not something I do daily. I only smoke when it’s time for recording,” Yaa Pono revealed.

In the same interview, the rapper revealed that contrary to popular belief among musicians that writing lyrics to a song in a very cool and serene environment is good, he prefers a noisy environment to a serene one citing that, “I wrote the 007 song in a trotro; the rap was shaking,” he added.

I Never Said If Shatta Wale Organizes Awards, Stonebwoy Will Win ‘Best Dancehall Artiste’ – Ponobiom

Rapper Yaa Pono, now known as Ponobiom has refuted reports suggesting that he tagged

Shatta Wale a loser against Stonebowy in terms of dancehall.

It was reported that Ponobiom had said Shatta Wale cannot rub shoulders with Stonebwoy

when it comes to producing quality dancehall tunes and that Stonebwoy will continue

winning the “Best Dancehall Artiste” award at the expense of Shatta Wale.

He is alleged to have also said even if Shatta Wale organises his own awards show,

Stonebwoy will still win the “Best Dancehall Artiste” award.

In a recent interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Pono said he was

astonished when he heard the news.

Ponobiom, who recently returned from a tour of some countries therefore repudiated the reports.

“Where is the audio and where is the proof,” he quizzed.

According to him, when he heard it, he asked that they ignore it because there was no truth to the story.

“If the news is not healthy, it doesn’t help the industry,” the rapper lamented and stressed that, “I’m a very nice guy, I’m a very humble guy” and if anyone wants to interview him, he is always open.

The stories, Ponobiom noted, were “below the belt” and “when I saw it, I didn’t care about it.”

Even If Shatta Wale Organises His Own Awards, Stonebwoy Will Win Dancehall Artist Of The Year – Yaa Pono

Rapper Yaa Pono aka Ponobiom has lashed out on dancehall act, Shatta Wale again.

According to him, Shatta Wale is no where near BHIM President Stonebowy all other things

being equal.

Yaa Pono is 100% sure that even if  Shatta Wale organizes his own awards scheme, Stonebwoy

will still win the ultimate regardless.

He made this comment just after the AFRIMA awards where Stonebwoy was crowned the ‘Best

Dancehall & Reggae Artiste of The Year’ at the expense of the self-acclaimed Dancehall king,

Shatta Wale.

Yaa Pono added that Shatta Wale should be called “Jama King” or King of “Asorkpor”.

Please Postpone Premiere Of #12 Expose – Yaa Pono Begs Anas

Tema based rapper, Solomon Adu Antwi, popularly known as Yaa Pono, has pleaded with ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, to postpone the date for the premier of his latest work titled Number 12.

According to Yaa Pono, he wishes to promote his upcoming video first before Ana proceeds with the premiere of #12

But to him, the popularity of Anas’ latest piece makes it difficult for him to market his music.

Hence, his plea to the ace investigative Journalist, Anas which he sent out to him via Twitter.

“Dear @anasgloba I beg cool down small let me promo my video and release it before you hype your show … yours faithfully (ponobiom), he twitted.

The latest investigative piece from the Anas-led Tiger Eye PI team, is allegedly focused on corruption in sports and politics.

Reports have it that, he has already shown a part of it to President Akufo Addo and former President, John Mahama.

“Number 12” will premiere at the Accra International Conference Centre on 6th and 7th of June.

Also at the CCB auditorium in Kumasi on 9th and 10th, in Tamale on 13th and in Takoradi on 16th all in June, 2018.

Meanwhile, Anas has already released the teaser for the investigative piece.
