Popular TV and Radio personality, Deloris Frimpong-Manso best known as Delay has sent

a word of advice to fast rising artiste,Wendy Shay.

The trending young female artiste

Wendy Addo, known by her stage name Wendy Shay who is mostly referred to as Ebony’s

replacement has been making several headlines since her introduction into the music scene

by her manager, Bullet(real name Ricky Nana Agyeman).

Preceding her message, she made mention of scenarios whereby people always made it a point

to always find fault with whatever Wendy Shay wears or does in her music life.

But Delay is certain that the ‘Uber Driver’ is indeed talented contrary to what many

Ghanaians have said that she is just imitating the late Ebony Reigns.

The producer believes that Shay will go far is only she keeps her focus on her work.

She then went on and advised Wendy not to let the criticisms get to her if only she wants to go far in her music career.

“Unless you are not ready for this music business, but if you want to go for the long haul you need to understand is that when Ghanaians accept you easily for doing nothing, you lose your fame and worth quickly.

I have observed you are talented and every output you bring shows it a lot. Focus n it and keep doing you, in the end, you remain bigger and better than those who followed they hype”, she said.

Meanwhile, Wendy Shay is currently out with a new single titled “Astalavista” which is trending all over.

VIDEO: RuffTown Records’ Wendy Shay Drops First Single ‘Uber Driver’

After the tragic death of the lead artiste of RuffTown Records and Midas Touch, Ebony Reigns, many have been wondering if Ghana will ever get an artiste of her caliber.

Ebony, though very young and new in the music industry was able to deliver hit after hit songs. Few days after her burial however, her record label introduced another artiste, Wendy Shay to Ghana and the world.

Many, including Ebony’s father thought it was too early for the label to do so. But a few on the other hand believed the company needed to keep running, therefore saw nothing wrong with the introduction of a new artiste at that moment.

The one question many were asking however, was whether Wendy can deliver like Ebony?

Well, her first song is out and it’s already a hit.

The official video for the song, titled ‘Uber Driver’ has also been released and it’s classic.

Shot in South Africa, the video for ‘Uber Driver’ was directed by the Almighty Yaw Skyface.

Production credit however goes to MOG Beatz.

Want to know about the message in the song?

Well, you’ll have to listen to it yourself.
