Africans Need Positive Results For The Continent To Progress – Van Vicker

Ghanaian Actor Van Vicker has shared his views on what the African continent needs to do in

order to progress.

expressed a valid opinion about the way forward for the African continent to progress.

Speaking at the the just ended All African Music Awards, the international multi-award

winning actor mentioned that he is delighted about the joyful way all Africans have been highly

represented for the awards.

“Hello it gives me the joy to have all African seated here tonight, joy is what we

need, joy gives motivation, motivation can generate results and that’s what we need. ”

Van Vicker however made this statement at the time he was presenting Award for best Female

artist  in Central Africa category.

The Actor who rocked the stage in a classy outfit designed by Tetteh Plahar, a Ghanaian fashion

designer in a separate chat with Attractivemustapha.com after the awards said that when you

are happy in life it brings motivation.

Van also noted that if you are happy with yourself you are motivated to do

things and look out for good results.

Adding further that Africa as a continent is tired of receiving all the derogatory comments.

As such, he believes this is the right time to say that Africans do not always have to be

looked down upon.

Van Vicker Endorses Free SHS Using Wife’s Picture

Award winning actor, Film maker(Director & Producer) Van Vicker has shown his support for the free Senior High School (SHS) programme initiated by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration.

In an Instagram post, Van Vicker put up a photo of his wife holding a placard which reads “Free SHS is here.”

He said he has high expectations and was hopeful the programme will succeed.

The NPP during the 2016 campaign promised to roll out the free SHS programme to reduce the financial burden on parents and also ensure every child who passes the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) goes to a secondary school.

At the launch of the programme on Tuesday (September 12, 2017), President Akufo-Addo said free means the government will finance expenses such as tuition, accommodation, feeding among others.

He further stated that even though the government anticipates some challenges in the near future, the Free SHS programme will succeed.
