TV3 is set to thrill viewers with what has been described as Ghana’s first telenovela today November 11, 2017.
The new drama series ‘Sadia’ tells a true Ghanaian story imbibed with the diverse cultures and languages of Ghana.
Consisting of a 100 episodes, ‘Sadia’- the protagonist.

‘Sadia’-the protagonist is to thrill fans by taking them on a journey of discovery. The story line also touches on some of the challenges with migration of young people on the continent. ‘Sadia’ is a 100 episode drama series.
The official premiere of the series came off on Friday December 8, 2017.
Group CEO of Media Genera, operators of TV3 is Pearl Esua-Mensah. She described ‘Sadia’ as a gripping drama series that provides Ghanaians with an authentic local alternative to foreign telenovelas at the launch.
She further added that this project was birthed due to the ambition and commitment to promote local content on their channels. This she believes will provide the needed leadership for other media channels to emulate.
As it is, TV3 was the first TV station to premiere the first ever shown telenovela on their screens in Ghana.
Many have however come out to condemn the influx of these telenovelas on our screens. This some argued is killing the local movie industry.
‘Sadia’ is a story that embraces all aspects of the Ghanaian. It highlights issues of family, rural-urban migration and many other social issues.
Kalsume Sinare, Harold Amenyah, Akuma Mama Zimbi are however amongst the casts.
With a fusion of Twi, Hausa, Fante, Ewe, Ga and English, the story paints a true reflection of the Ghanaian culture.
The drama series starts showing on TV3 today Monday, December 11, 2017 at 8:00pm.
It will then continue to show on Mondays and Tuesdays at the same time on the same channel.
