Shirley Frimpong-Manso, 5 Other Managers Quit TV Africa

Chief Operating Officer of TV Africa, Shirley Frimpong Manso has allegedly resigned from her post.

A report sighted on citinewsroom.com indicates that Shirley quit together with other senior managers of the station.

Meanwhile, the prolific movie producer quit her post, barely six months after her appointment.

The reports further indicated that the resignation of the managers is borne out of frustration

from complaints by workers who have not been paid for a couple of months.

Shirley was appointed to her post to help place the station in the better position in the

competitive media market.

This, however,  was after TV Africa had undergone rebranding of its porgrammes, style and content.

About two years ago, a private financial holding company, the Ideal Groupe, acquired a majority share in TV Africa after 13 years of operation from the old Kwaw Ansah management.

The rebranding process brought on board Ghanaian politician and journalist, Obuobia Darko Opoku, actress Nikki Samonas and Khadijat El- Alawa as morning show hosts.

Actor Ekow Blankson until recently was the Managing Director of the station.

Shirley, who has a media background has over 30 films to her credit.

Her company, Sparrow Productions was once the franchise holder of the Miss Ghana beauty Pageant.

Yvonne Nelson Gives TV Africa A Bitter ‘Yawa’ Of The Century

Enough of the ‘fake love’.

Actress and CEO of YN Productions has ‘disgraced’ TV Africa in a way they might never forget. Where did this happen? On social media , Twitter to be precise.

So here’s what happened. On Wednesday, as has become a tradition, most people and some organizations display their Woman Crush Wednesday(WCW) on social media. That’s exactly what TV Africa did but received the shock of their lives.

The station tagged Yvonne Nelson as their chiqCrush (Woman Crush Wednesday) on Twitter.

“What inspires you about our #Chiqcrush @yvonnenelsongh?”, the station tweeted.

However, the actress who’s obviously not in good terms with the station replied in the most shocking way.

Yvonne, without mincing words ‘bitterly’ replied the station that she is not their crush anyway. Well, in capital letters with an exclamation mark at the end(!), which only shows how serious and probably angry she was.

“@tvafricagh I’M NOT YOUR CRUSH IN ANYWAY!”, Yvonne tweeted back.

Her comment may come as a shock to many, but not to those who are aware of the ‘beef’ between Yvonne Nelson and Counselor Lutterodt.

Here’s a flashback;

Recall it was on this same TV station that controversial marriage counselor George Luterrodt sat and called the actress all sorts of names?.

Counselor Lutterodt has often passed derogatory comments about Yvonne on TV Africa, where he takes part in panel discussions.

He’s even gone as far as calling her a ‘prostitute’ on their channel and they did nothing about it.

Of course, those derogatory comments, will not go down well with anyone.  It’s actually embarrassing to be tagged as such on a TV station, that has millions of people watching.

Why then should such a station, after all these, now turn and tag the same person someone had called ‘prostitute’ on their channel as their ‘Chiqcrush’?

Meanwhile, the controversial George Lutterodt recently apologized to the YN Productions boss for “all the bad things he has said about her”. Yvonne Nelson has not yet responded to his apology as to whether she has accepted it or not.
