Man Is Tired; My Album Is Not ‘Borla’ – Shatta Wale

Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has reacted to views by some showbiz personalities and a

section of the public that his latest album is nothing to write home about.

A section of the public, with some notable artistes such as Kwaw Kese and M3nsa of FOKN

BOYS have criticised the ‘Reign’ album, describing it as ‘trash’.

According to them, songs on the album are nothing less than empty noises and aren’t worth

all the hype the SM Family put into its launch.

Reacting to all these however, the self-acclaimed dancehall icon says, promotion of the

songs on the album has not yet started because the team is tired after the launch.

“It was just three days ago we finished with this launch. You know man is tired. I don’t know how they want me to work. When haters talk, you just watch them and say wow, you people are really pushing hard,” he said.

Shatta made this known during an interview on ‘You Sey Weytin’, a segment on ShowbizFylla on Hitz FM.

The’Amount’ crooner stressed that his ‘Reign’ album is not ‘trash’ or valueless as some have labelled it.

“I know my album is not ‘borla’. It is on record now that on the iTunes chart- world album, it went to number one.’’ He told host, Prince Tsegah (Da Son).

The Zylofon signee, who as usual seems unperturbed by the negative comments about his

added that promotion of songs will kick start soon.

He disclosed that the ‘Reign’ album is about to begin with a radio tour, a meeting with disc

jockeys and some parties.

The ‘Gringo’ hitmaker launched his anticipated album on October 13, 2018, at the Fantasy

Dome at the Trade Fair Center in Accra. The first copy of the album was bought for GHC 150,000.

DKB Explains What He Said About Sarkodie At ‘Reign Concert’

Comedian Derrick Kobina Bonney popularly known as DKB has expressed surprise at reports

that suggest he insulted Sarkodie’s mother during a speech at the ‘reign’ album concert.

DKB, born Derrick Kobina Bonney served as MC for the event which took place at

the Fantasy Dome in Accra on Saturday October 13, 2018

Hours after the album launch however,  news went viral that DKB had insulted Sarkodie’s mum.

The comedian had passed a derogatory comment which he describes as a ‘vague complement’

during Shatta Wale’s response to Sarkodie’s ‘Advice’song. Many Ghanaians and Sarkholics

however read meanings into the comment describing it as an insult to Sarkodie’s mum.

In a short video, DKB expressed shock and apologized to Sarkodie, her mum and fans who

felt insulted by the news.

“If you guys were offended by these stories, I duly apologise. It’s nothing of that sort. The statement I made is a vague complement. It has nothing to do with insults. When will I insult Sarkodie when everybody knows I’m a major fan of Sarkodie supporting him on every stage…”

M3nsa ‘Roasted’ On Social Media By SM Fans Over ‘Reign’ Album Tweet

Musician M3nsa, one half of music group FOKN Boys has incurred the wrath of SM fans

after he tweeted saying it was only one song he could listen completely from the whole album.

Few hours after the official launch of Shatta Wale’s “Reign” album, M3nsa took to his twitter

page and questioned if people were really serious in the country.

This according to him was out of the 17 tracks on  Shatta Wale’s ‘Reign’ album, he could listen to only one song completely.

He tweeted: “Whole album I could only listen to ONE song completely. You people no be serious”.

This tweet from M3nsa however didn’t go down well with Shatta Wale fans. As was to be expected, some of these fans in turn took to the same media to lash out at him for disrespecting the album of their icon.

The much anticipated ‘Reign’ album by influential Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta

wale was digitally unveiled over the weekend at the Fatasy Dome in Accra.

It’s a 17 tracks album which features Nigerian artiste, Olamide, on “Wonders” the 9th track on the list.

Some of the songs on the album include, Gringo, Amount, Give Dem Something,

Crazy, Wonders, among others.

The first copy of the album however sold at GHC 150,000.

Meanwhile, reign album summarizes the ‘Ayoo’ hit maker’s return to the mainstream,

rejection, ideologies and the evolution the industry is currently experiencing.

The reign is out now and available now under the management of Shatta movement

and Zylofon music.

Video: Shatta Wale Proposes To Shatta Michy At Reign Concert

It was a night to remember as Dancehall act, Shatta Wale gave Ghanaians and his fans the surprise of their lives at the launch of his third studio album.

The highly anticipated album, titled ‘Reign’ was finally launched on October 13 at the Fantasy Dome in Labadi- Accra.

The event attracted thousands of music enthusiasts and fans. Aside Shatta Wale and Michy, The Militants, Xylo, Smokey Beatz and Efe Keyz were among artistes who graced the stage.

Shatta Wale thrilled his fans with back to back performance of some of his hit songs.

Adding more excitement to the show, Shatta Wale brought his two kids on stage to join the celebrations.

The biggest surprise however came when Shatta Wale finally proposed to his long

time girlfriend and baby mama, Michy during their performance together.

A visibly shocked Michy hugged Shatta Wale who later kissed her passionately after saying yes.

First Copy Of ‘Reign’ Album Auctioned For GHC150,000

The first copy of Shatta Wale’s third studio album, ‘Reign’ has been bought at a whooping price of GHC150,000.

The buyers, Mr. and Mrs. Sleg shocked patrons of the Reign concert and album launch as they

bought the first copy for GHC150,000 although Shatta Wale had said he was selling the first

copy for GHC100,000.

The ‘Reign’ album has seventeen tracks. According to the artiste, although he loves

all the songs on the album, his favorite is Exodus because it is inspired by his real life struggles.

Prior to the launch, Shatta Wale had been teasing fans as he dropped a number of singles including Gringo and Amount off the album.

The four-hour event saw the self-acclaimed dancehall king perform some of his old and newest tracks to the fans who had thronged the venue to support him.

Shatta Wale rocked the stage alongside Michy, Zylofon Arts Club acts as well as the Militants. Although there were several technical hitches which caused some disruptions, the audience appeared satisfied with the event.
