All Ebony Needs Is Love, Not Insults – Sonnie Badu

UK-based gospel musician, Dr. Sonnie Badu has called on Ghanaians to support and show love to Ebony, not insults.

The “Okokroko” hitmaker was speaking in an exclusive interview with Peace FM’s Sammy Kumah(Sammy Kay).

According to the Minister of the Gospel, “Everyone has his/her own reason for behaving in a certain way. Therefore before you criticize anyone, listen to the person’s story and know what they have been through”.

Sonny Badu further called on Ghanaian media, entertainers and the general public to stop criticizing and insulting  Ebony, for her choice of costumes.

Sonnie Badu’s Speech

“All Ebony needs is love, not insults because she is indeed a great talent. Although she is known for half-naked dressing, she didn’t dress that way when she launched her album recently. And that is why there is the need to know why she sometimes dresses that way before you criticize her- the “Baaba” hitmaker explained.

Dancehall diva, Ebony has received backlashes from many critics for her half-naked fashion style. She however has the massive support of her father, Nana Poku Kwarteng.

“We shouldn’t be hypocrites……. most of those who insult her for dressing half naked are the same people who go to watch her shows”, he added.

When asked if he listens to secular songs, considering the fact that he’s a gospel musician, he answered in the affirmative. He confirmed he listens to songs by Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Ebony, etc.

According to him, we’re in a social world. Hence, it is important for one to always be abreast of time.

Some African Leaders Are Gift And Dream Killers- Sonnie Badu(Photos)

Sonnie Badu, a UK-based Ghanaian Gospel Singer and Minister of God has expressed his disgust at some of Africa’s leaders.

Minister Sonnie who took to his official Instagram page to express his worries and disgust by posting a picture of himself in worship under which he wrote his message to the world and African leaders expressed that so many talents are wasting in Africa due to oppressive ruling of some leaders.

Sonnie Badu

According to The Inspirational Singer Africa has got many gifted and talented individuals, talk of the Messi’s or Christian Ronaldo’s in football(Soccer), the Beyonce’s  when it comes to music  and arts as well as people who can run faster than Usain Bolt but the problem is leadership since those at the top(leaders) tend not to support their own.

He further stated that, some of these leaders even upon realizing someone’s potentials will never lend a helping hand or give the opportunity for that person to become the great person he or she is meant to be. This attitude he explained leaves the dreamers with few options to either pay a bribe and compromise oneself or give up on dreams.

Sonnie Badu Speaks On ‘One Corner’ Song

The UK- based and multiple award winning Ghanaian Gospel Singer and producer has expressed great worries over the recent popular ‘one corner’ dance.

The Inspirational Gospel Singer expressed that, it is becoming more dangerous and life threatening for people engaging in the dance and is therefore calling for urgent control measures and restrictions on the famous ‘one corner’ dance craze. Sharing his views on the dance which has appeared to be a public nuisance on various social media platforms, the Gospel Minister said that he is seriously worried seeing people performing the dance under vehicles and even on moving trucks as well as on busy roads.

He could not hide his uttermost surprise and worries when he added that ” It’s getting dangerous. I saw someone climb an electric pole, I saw someone climb a tipper truck, I saw someone run under a car and I saw someone dancing while cars were moving. Now this is getting out of hands. Do you want to wait until you hear somebody dead before you say ‘one corner’ killed him?’ he queried.

But perhaps, Sonnie has not actually heard that the dance has already claimed one life as was reported by yen.com few days ago. He is not the only person who has expressed worries and dislike over the social media dance trend  as another Minister and Head Pastor of WordAflame Family Chapel  Rev. Mrs Jennifer Selly has also said that the artiste behind the Popular song Patapaa, consulted ‘juju’ man before releasing the song and has therefore cautioned Christians to refrain from the song.
