TV3 Presents Lists Of Ghanaian Artistes With Unpleasant Nicknames

Nickname is an informal name for someone or something, especially a name that you are called

by your friends or family, usually based on your real name, size, looks or character.

To many, these names have become part of their real names. That aside, some people’s real names have been actually thrown away for nicknames.

However, as much as people enjoy being called by their nicknames, certain nicknames make people feel uncomfortable.

CHECK:https://www.ghafla.co.ke/gh/efia-odo-to-give-up-social-media/

One artiste in Ghana who detests his nickname is Shatta Wale.

The SM boss was nicknamed ‘Gbee Nabu’ by Yaa Pono during their lyrical war in 2017.

The name has since existed and is mostly used by the anti-SM fans to mock the dancehall icon.

There are other celebrities who have also been nicknamed due to one or two things.

TV3 entertainment news presents their names below;

Odi Ahenkan after hearing the whole story stated that the laws in Ghana work and that

Stonebwoy should just sue Shatta Wale so he provides his evidence of him killing his mother since it’s a criminal offence.

The presenter also bashed organisers for the RTP awards. According to him, he opted out of the awards scheme because he felt there was something fishy going on with the whole awards and told them not to nominate him for an award until they have fixed the issues.

between him and his former Slip Music boss.

but not that it was deliberately to call off the interview with Shatta Wale”.

Visuals for Shatta Wale’s hit song, ‘Gringo’, is arguably the most hyped song from the Zylofon Media artiste’s camp.

An expensive video shot in the province of Blanco, Texas, USA complimented the song.

‘Gringo’ therefore trended for days before and after its release and went on to top chats in Ghana and overseas.

The video has garnered over 1.8Million views times on Youtube, with a lot more interactions and engagements.

Meanwhile, the premiering of the same video first took place on Zylofon Cash.

Interestingly however, it has now amassed a disappointing 1313 views after being on the platform for 3 months according to a report by eonlineghana.com.

The report further revealed that the views on Zylofon Cash meant the artist earns GH¢35.08. An amount which is not even enough to the cover the cost of the access card pegged at GH¢300.

If Shatta Wale, an artist with all the influence and loyal following cannot break-even after having his content on the platform for 3 months, then we ask, is there hope for these up and coming acts with little or no influence?

Rivalry Between Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale Cool – Gramps Morgan

International Reggae act, Gramps Morgan, says the rivalry between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale may be good for show business.

The two Dancehall artistes have over sometime now been involved in some frictions, in which fans of the two factions have also waded into.

Some critics and entertainment enthusiates however believe their rivalry is as a result of the battle for supremacy in terms of dancehall/reggae music in Ghana.

The staunch Pan Africanist believes the spirit of competition between the two is because ‘they are young…..which is good for the spirit of competition’.

He told Joy News’ Doreen Avio, “the competitiveness is good for the industry and the development of their spirits’.

Morgan Cramps is the author of tracks such as ‘Wash the tears’ and ‘Almighty’, and the son of the legendary reggae act, Denroy Morgan.

He however, cautioned Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale not to go beyond a certain limit.

“I advise them to be careful in what they promote. They have to be wise and think about their future”, he warned.

He advises that the two be cautious of their utterances and lyrics as it may affect their young families in the near future.

Shatta Wale’s Claim Of Not Having No AC In His Office False – Zylofon Music

Zylofon Music has tagged their artiste, Shatta Wale’s claim of having no air-conditioner in his office a hoax.

The dancehall act a few days ago took to Facebook to lodge a complaint that he has no air-conditioner in his office at Zylofon Music.

“So my office for Zylofon ,no air condition deh am not happy at all ..oh wow .. NAM1 come and save me oooo lol …, he wrote.

But reacting to this  allegation, the Communications Director for Zylofon Music, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo says Shatta’s comment was totally not true but should be treated as one of his jokes.

Asamoah-Baidoo disclosed that, the Founder of Zylofon Music, Nana Appiah Mensah has put up a beautiful edifice for Zylofon Music. He added that each artiste signed on to the label has his/her office fully furnished with air Conditioners, fridges and all the things that will make them feel extremely comfortable and Shatta Wale is part of the people who enjoy these privileges.

“Shatta Wale’s claim is totally not true. I mean if you see the kind of edifice that Nana Appiah Mensah has put up you’ll be marveled. For my twelve years of being in this entertainment industry, I have not seen any record label put up that kind of structure. You may say because I’m an official of Zylofon Music so I may be bias.  But you’d equally agree with me if you get to see the kind of structure that has been put up.”

He said on Hitz FM.

He added that, Zylofon Music is undoubtedly one of the most functional and biggest label in Africa at the moment considering the kind of services provided to its signees.

Mr. Asamoah-Baidoo also said, media reporters could go to the office of Zylofon Music to find out the truth themselves. Thus, if fans of Shatta Wale doubts whatever he (Asamoah-Baidoo) is proving.

He also argued, the record label approached the Shatta Movement President about the accusation. But his response was that, it was just a joke and nothing major they should worry their heads about.

Stonebwoy Hints Of Shatta Wale Collaboration

It seems the prayer of many Ghanaians especially fans of two of Ghana’s great musicians is about to be answered.

Zylofon Media label mates and long time nemesis seems to be finally ready to smoke the peace pipe.

Stonebowy, BHIM Nation boss has revealed that there would soon be a collaboration between him and Shatta Wale.

The “Bawasaba” hitmaker made this revelation when a social media user asked him if he would ever have a collaboration with his rival in the music industry.

The user asked; “Collaboration with Shatta Wale?”

Stonebowy however replied with, “Soon time”.

This however comes as a good news to many Ghanaians and fans of both artistes. Many have been calling on the two to make peace and collaborate on a song for a while now.

But the two artiste continued with their fight for supremacy in dancehall music even after being signed onto the same label.

Well, we surely know that a collaboration from these two acts will be nothing but a masterpiece and we just can’t wait for it.

Meanwhile, the Director of Sales and Marketing for Awake Water and Carbonated Soft Drinks at Kasapreko Company Limited, Mrs. Eunice Adjei Bonsu declined to comment on the issue. When asked if management is considering abrogating the ambassadorial deal with the Zylofon artiste, she said “No comment about Shatta Wale, storm energy deal.”

The Energy Drink of the Year Award was presented to the distributors of the product at a ceremony in Accra.
