GhOne TV’s Serwaa Amihere Tours BBC World Service(PHOTOS)

Broadcaster at GhOne TV, Serwaa Amihere is currently in the United Kingdom.

The award-winning presenter was seen touring the biggest news production house in the world, BBC.

Though her main purpose of visit is not known, it is apparent she is there to study some ethics of broadcasting and journalism to augment and broaden her knowledge on her chosen field.

Serwaa Amihere ever since she landed a job at EIB Network has never disappointed the channel’s audience as she keeps serving daily doses of informative news to their discerning listening viewers.

Miss Amihere recently won the best female TV Newscaster of the year at the just ended 2018 Radio and Television Personality Awards( RTP Awards).

Thanking her supporters however, which includes Nana Aba Anamoah, Serwaa

Serwaa Amihere Appointed Brand Ambassador For Amor Contraceptives

2018 best female newscaster of the year, Serwaa Amihere has been appointed brand

ambassador for Global contraceptive solutions brand Amor.

The Global contraceptive solutions brand has commenced its operations in Ghana

and has launched their a vigorous safe sex awareness campaign on social media.

The broadcast journalist and philanthropist therefore becomes the first brand ambassador

of the company.

Serwaa Amihere will not only front Amor’s social awareness projects,

but also device innovative and creative ways of interacting with young people

on social media about pregnancy preventive measures and safer alternative options as a

path in championing a broader aim of grooming an empowered female generation.

Meanwhile, the event to unveil Serwaa Amihere as the icon for Amor officially took place at

the plush GPSC office at Dzorwulu in Accra with heavy media and industry stakeholders

present.

Addressing the press however, Mr. Wang Yafeng, MD, GPSC, expressed management’s

commitment in helping young ladies have full control of their sexualities by providing

them with authentic contraceptive options that have been tried, tested and approved

as effective solutions for pregnancy control.

Miss Amihere on the other hand thanked GPSC management and staff for confirming her as

their first brand  icon after carefully evaluating her capabilities and potential as the

right brand to associate  with in delivering the mandate of giving the power of choice in

the hands of young women.

“Women, especially young ladies must have the power of choice. It is important for

us to have the power to decide when to get pregnant, have babies and when to

pursue educational advancement or career development. We must end the era of

unwanted pregnancies and the wrong abortion methods which usually bring

young women so many medical complications,” she stated.

2018 RTP Awards: Serwaa Amihere Wins Female TV Newscaster Of The Year

News anchor at GHONE TV, Serwaa Amihere has emerged best female TV Newscaster of

the year at the just ended Radio and Television Personality Awards( RTP Awards).

Serwaa Amihere beat off other contenders such as Natalie Fort ( TV3), Ama Sarpong Kumankuma ( UTV),

Gifty Andoh Appiah ( Joy News ) and Nana Yaa Brefo ( Adom TV) to take home this award.

An excited Serwaa in her acceptance speech extended her gratitude to some major people who contributed to her success.

“I am very honoured to be given this award especially even the relatively short period that I have been in broadcasting….

And ladies and gentlemen please permit me to dedicate this award to my sister, my, mentor and my friend, Nana Aba Anamoah.

She is the reason I am here today. So, Nana I just want you to know that I love you so so much and you are a family to me now. Thank you very much.” She said.

Meanwhile, Miss Amihere’s enthusiasm and dedication to Ghone news production got

her adjudged the best newsroom Staff of the Year, 2017 by GHOne TV.

Born on the 8th March 1990, she happens to be the first child to Lydia Tetteh and Frank Yeboah.

The 8th edition of the Adonko Radio and Television Personality Awards -RTP came off

on Saturday, 6th October at the Accra International Conference Center.

Patrons were treated with good music by Kidi , Kuami Eugene, Wendy Shay, Obibini et al.

The award scheme honors professional media excellence and outstanding

on-air personalities.

It also aims at honoring personalities both on TV and Radio who are doing great work

and needs to be appreciated for their work.
