For the past weeks, a viral video surfaced on the internet with a man who calls himself “Wee-fuor teacher” ( teacher of WEED smokers) saying that the habit of smoking weed is a call from God.
The “one corner” hit maker added that he supports the plea of the Wee Presidents asking for the herb to be legalized in the country.
“If God hasn’t called you to smoke weed you can’t indulge in the act, anyone who has gone mad from smoking weed had encountered bad luck from his home.” Patapaa added.
“..On my first encounter with KK Fosu, he told me I shall live long because I am just like him and if you take a critical look you see the resemblance, the body always looks same,” he said.
The ‘One Corner’ hitmaker also hinted that he and KK are set to release a track titled “Father and Son”.
“We are yet to release our track, Father and Son…I started copying KK style, check his style of performances, videos and mine, I copied his styles. From the inception of my music career, I have also represented KK Fosu style. I call him Father and he regards me as his Son,” Patapaa concluded.
Speaking in an interview with Joy News Patapaa said;
“In Accra, you would have to pay two or three-year rent advance, I have been able to build a three-bedroom house in my hometown, Swedru. Very soon I will have a child and he/she must have an abode”.
He noted that his biggest breakthrough on the continent has been the interview he granted to Joy News after the VGMA.
The ‘Pa2Pa’ leader was hence grateful that he showed Joy News that respect.
“It helped me a lot, initially I didn’t want to grant any interviews but out of respect for Joy News, I did,” he said.
Swedru-based artiste, PatapaaAmisty has debunked rumours that he is dating actress Xandy Kamel.
Kumawood actress, Xandy Kamel has severally declared her ‘love’ for the ‘One Corner’ hitmaker.
She has even gone as far as calling herself Pata Xandy on social media. Recent rumours also states that Patapaa has bought her a ring as a sign of his commitment to her.
However, Patapeezy, as he is now known, insists they are only friends with no love strings attached.
Patapaa told Joy News at the just ended Ghana Meets Naija at the Fantasy Dome of the International Trade Fair Center that, ‘no, she’s not my girlfriend…we are just friends’.
Clarifying further, Patapaa stressed, he had never had any such conversation with Xandy.
‘I’ve never told that girl anything about love’, he insisted.
According to him, he is not ready for a relationship now, so the possibility of some affection between them is totally out of the question.
Meanwhile, Xandy on the other hand has sent a warning to all other ladies who seems to have any sort of affection for ‘her man.’
According to her, it will be better for these ladies to forget about ever having Patapeezy for themselves because he’s solely hers.
The incessant abuse of the popular ‘Pain killing drug’, Tramadol, has become a canker that has found its way among the youth of the society.
Several celebrities have taken it upon themselves to campaign against the abuse of the drug.
Some are embarking on ‘Say No To Tramadol Abuse’ campaign in some selected high schools across the country.
We however reported about a tweet by ace broadcaster and pioneer of the campaign against Tramadol abuse about Swedru-based artiste, Patapaa Amisty, now Patapeezy.
“Patapaa and his manager say until they’re paid “Patapaa will not add his voice to the campaign against the abuse of tramadol”, Nana Aba tweeted
This however, didn’t go down well with fans of the ‘One Corner’ hitmaker. They, therefore took so social media to express their disappointment at their icon.
But Patapeezy has come out to rubbish this assertion. According to him, he never demanded for money as a precondition supporting the campaign against the abuse of Tramadol.
Instead, he explained that he was approached by a lady who requested that he endorses a concept. Meanwhile, his manager had no idea of this, hence his refusal.
He further stated that, the lady didn’t make any effort to contact his manager. As a result, he made it clear to her that there will be no such endorsement. This, he added is because, doing so might infringe his managerial contract.
Patapaa’s manager, Gershon Mortey has confirmed also confirmed the artist’s position.
Gerson explained that Nana Aba Anamoah hasn’t made any contact to ask his camp to engage in “Abuse of Tramadol” campaign. Hence he finds it difficult to fathom why she would put up such a post to defame his artiste.
“Nana Aba has not called me or sent anyone to inform me on an abuse of tramadol campaign. She could have used the right channel to reach me so we talk about that”, Mr Mortey explained to Adomonline.com in an interview.

Mr. Eazi replied with;” Have no fear Patapa!! @mistameister go contact u! We got a huge plan for u!! Hehe to the WORLD!!!!”

Patapaa without mincing words told host, Deloris Frimpong Manso, aka Delay that she fits the description of ‘his taste’ of girl.
According to him, his ‘tiny’ body makes it necessary that he gets a lady like Delay who is very well endowed to compliment him.
“Delay, you see how slim I am? So if I get a lady like you, splendid!” Patapaa elatedly replied when asked to describe his kind of girl especially the type he would not be reluctant in making love to.
Delay was taken aback initially but later laughed it off.
He however, refuted claims that he has a girlfriend but stated he does not starve himself when he is horny.
“I don’t have a girlfriend but when I feel for sex, I enjoy myself. It’s not new to footballers and musicians. When we go for shows or football matches, we definitely get girls from the location and satisfy ourselves. The fact is, we are even on the wanted list of these ladies so when we make the move, they thank they are stars,” he said.

That notwithstanding, many Ghanaians(both young and old) were seen in different viral videos dancing to the song.
It later traveled out of the shores of Ghana and many Nigerians were also seen highly patronizing the song.

According to Patapaa, the reaction of the audience at the show when the award went to Fancy Gadam proves that he deserved the award.
Last year, Patapaa emerged all of a sudden and took Ghana by storm with his ‘One Corner’ song. The song was highly patronized and enjoyed by both the old and young. It did not only stay in Ghana but tcrossed the borders as well.

“They [VGMA board] have to stop those things they’ve been doing. If someone deserves an award, you have to give it to him based on his output. They don’t have to take any stupid money to give an award to an undeserving artiste,” the singer said.
“If you look from the inside, most of the people were even shouting that the award should come to me, Patapaa,” he added.
“Most of the fans were not happy that they have the award to Fancy Gadam, but all the same they tomorrow they will hear from me on air.” He said
