What matters is that it’s a call and one has to respond to it whenever the call comes.

I Approve Cosmetic Surgery Only For Medical Reasons – Gifty Anti

Years ago, just the mention of the word ‘surgery’ could make anyone, even the bravest man or woman have goose bumps on the skin.

However, the trend seems to have changed within these past few years and undergoing surgery has now become more of fashion.

These days, women go for surgeries like they go for shopping and they usually go for cosmetic surgery or the liposuction.

All these, in the name of improving their appearance, they want to have that hourglass shapes and all for what?

Not to say that every lady that has this type of shape has undergone a surgery, but hey, we’re not blind.

Almost every woman especially the youth these days have curvaceous forms which they proudly exhibit on social media.

Meanwhile, there are diverse side effects of these surgeries and that even includes death sometimes.

Perhaps, if our doctors will be more truthful and open with the public, we’ll realize that these surgeries are claiming more lives than even drug abuse is.

What’s more baffling is that, most of these overly endowed ladies end up being single forever, no husbands.

A few also after risking their lives and all that, end up being the mistresses, and girlfriends of rich men who are married to not endowed ladies.

So my question is, why take all these risks when even the men for which they claim they’re doing it for end up tagging them as ‘Side chicks’?

Ace broadcaster and feminist, Oheneyere Gifty Anti has added her two cents to the issue of whether or not cosmetic surgery is any better.

According to her, she supports cosmetic surgery if and only if it is health related. She believes that everyone has the right to do with their bodies what they deem right.

However, she will never advise a friend or her girls to undergo any of such just because they feel left out of society.

Speaking to Class91.3FM’s Class Drive, she said:

“Women have a right to do whatever they want to do but I will feel sad if a woman will go for plastic surgery because she feels that she does not belong and that she does not fit the status quo that society has designed for women.

“I will never encourage any of my friends or my girls or my daughters as I call them, to go for plastic surgery just for fun or for fashion or whatever but if it is for medical reasons of course, why not!.”
