This year’s “Obrafour Live In Europe” tour will soon kick off.
Earlier in the week, organizers put out names of three artistes who will perform
during the show.
They include; the headline artiste Obrafour, 2Ras and Sariki.
Another three big names have again been added to the list of performers.
The are Ghanaian hiplife artistes, Stay Jay, Bizzy and Cahrsay.
According to the organizers, the third list of performers would be announced over the
weekend and that would once again include some of the best performers around at the moment.
The tour seeks to create the biggest platform in Europe to market Ghanaian music, culture and tourism; and encompasses several countries on the continent.
Legendary rapper Michael Elliot Kwabena Okyere Darkoh, best known as Obrafour has revealed that he has no plans of retiring from music anytime soon.
According to the ‘Moesha’ crooner, not until death takes him from the land of the living, he won’t retire from active music in order to pave way for upcoming artists.
On the program dubbed Central Dryve on Radio Central hosted by Amansan Krakye, Obrafour was asked whether he will retire from music or go on pension anytime soon because it’s been two decades now.
“I’m not sure there is pension in music, when God gives you music talent you can do it till death, all you need is the strength. I may go on pension if God calls me to glory or gives me different work, but it until then I will still be doing active music,” he replied.
Amansan Krakye went on to ask that, some of the new artistes think it’s about time people like him retire in order to pave way for the new talents.
“In this world you can’t rule forever because everything has an end. I wouldn’t agree if someone says new crop of artistes are emerging so the old ones should retire because experience is very important. We need to be there to help and guide the young ones. Until we die we will still be in the game”, he added.
He has actually nurtured a lot of talents including Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and the likes now reigning the Ghanaian music industry.
Ghanaian Hiplife artiste, Michael Elliot Kwabena Okyere Darko, popularly known as Obrafour has stated emphatically that no Ghanaian rapper can rap better than him.
Some people are of the view that the Obrafour Ghanaians used to know lyrically decades ago is not the same Obrafour now. It is in response to this that Obrafour said that;
“Everybody has his opinion. I believe in what I do and I live in my convictions. I’m not conforming to any particular rules in the game. You can’t predict Obrafour because where you expect him to rap, he’ll rather sing and the vice-versa. Look, let me make this clear. I can rap and I don’t think there’s anybody in this country that can rap better than I do”, Obrafour asserted.
The CEO of Execution Entertainment was speaking in an interview with Emcee Bebe on Cape FM’s Entertainment Xtra show.
He revealed that music is in his genes. This according to him is because, he started singing at the age of four (4) through the guidance of his mother.
Meanwhile, Obrafour is currently promoting his new single titled ‘Moesha‘ which features Sarkodie.

Ghanaian Rap icon, Obrafour aka ‘Rap Sofo’ has revealed what his greatest fear in life is.
According to him, his greatest fear in life is to die and miss heaven.
Speaking with host Ohemaa Woyeje on Adom FM’s ‘Work and Happiness’, the ‘Okukuseku’ hit maker said even though he is not absolved from sin, going to hell will hurt his soul.
“If God wants me dead then what can I do? As Christians we believe death has a merit. What I get scared of, is dying and not receiving salvation. That is what I am scared of than anything. We all get scared but I know if it is the work of the Lord it shall come to pass…” he said.

Obrafour vehemently proclaimed his belief in Jesus Christ. Stating that he believes Jesus Christ is with him that is why he has survived the trials and tribulations in life.
As a married man, Obrafour accepted that the limelight draws temptations but stated he never cheated on his wife. This he said is because he has the spirit of self control and is always careful.
“Some groupies will come into your life, but now I am a married man so I have to be steady. It is not right to fall for them. There are some instances that you will fall for. I am not an angel but I cannot say that I am proud of that. I have never cheated on my wife. You have to try to refrain from that as an artiste…”
Obrafour is currently promoting his song ‘No Vote’, his ‘Obra fro fro’ album will be released in December.

Jason Gaisie,best known in the entertainment industry as Pappy Kojo has expressed his anger with Ace Musician Obrafour for ignoring his calls and messages. The Fante rapper who said he adores the ‘Pae Mu Ka’ composer who is also his source of inspiration when it comes to music has stressed on his disappointment at Obrafour’s attitude towards him.
Speaking in an interview on Joy FM’s Cosmopolitan Mix with Doreen Andoh, Pappy Kojo mentioned that he was supposed to have performed with Obrafour at the 2016 edition of the Ghana Music Awards but he failed to show up that night. “I am a little bit upset with Obrafour [but] I have kept quiet for so long but I have to say it,” the rapper said.
He further stated that “Obrafour has been ignoring me for a while, he doesn’t pick my calls, he doesn’t reply my text messages, [and] I don’t understand why Obrafour is doing that. I want to understand what is going on, because you are like [an idol] to me, you are the reason why I am doing what I am doing”
According to him, “Last year I performed at Ghana Music Awards and I wanted to surprise the people with Obrafour so we spoke about it, he agreed and he didn’t show up. I called him and he didn’t pick, I really don’t understand what is going on.” “You can’t just influence me and then when I fall in love with you, you just leave me alone, it doesn’t work,” he added.
When asked about his rumored affectionate relationship with actress Yvonne Nelson, the ‘Realer No’ hitmaker debunked such claims, stressing that he dated another lady by the name Yvonne Melson and not the actress, Yvonne Nelson . “I dated Yvonne Melson, I didn’t date Yvonne Nelson, the Yvonne I dated is called Yvonne Melson, she lives in Takoradi and has never stepped foot in Accra,” he cleared the air after a listener threw the question at him.
