Obaapa Christy To Launch 11th Album In March

Veteran gospel musician, Rev. Obaapa Christy,  is set to release her 11th career album in March this year.

The album, titled ‘W’agye Me’ will be launched on March 17, at the International Central Gospel

Church (ICGC) Holy Ghost Temple, Adenta – Frafraha.

”W’agye Me” which translates in English as ”He has saved me” is under the label of Francoba Management and comprises of six songs.

The ”W’sua me” hit single, which has however gained massive airplay over the past few months

is one of the tracks on the yet-to-be-released album.

Obaapa Christy, in an interview with GNA Entertainment revealed that, the song, eulogizes the

good works of Almighty God in her life considering her background.

“If I look at the place we are coming from, we just have to praise his name for bringing us this far and ask for continues blessing from God.

“I anticipate that my upcoming album will help touch lives and draw people closer to their creator,’‘ she said.

Furthermore, the album is a combination of both praises and worship songs.

It however contains six tracks which includes ”Amen”, ”W’agye Me”, ”I Am Coming Out”, ”W’ asue Me”, ”Aseda Nwom” and ”Ma Enye Yie”.

Obaapa Christy To Release 11th Album

Awards-winning Ghanaian gospel music diva, Obbapa Christy is set to release her 11th album.

The album titled ‘Wagye Me(He Has Saved Me)’ will be released on Monday October 15, 2018

under the label of Francoba Management.

This will however become her first album after she was ordained as a Reverend Minister in the United States.

The six-track album which comprises of both worship and praises seeks to inspire, motivate and bless Gospel lovers all over the world.

 

Obaapa Christy Ordained As Pastor In US

Awards-winning Ghanaian gospel musician, Obaapa Christy has been ordained as reverend minister at a church in the United States of America.

The ordination took place at Divine Prayer Line at Springfield, Virginia – USA by Bishop Dr. Adonteng Boateng on December 17, 2017.

Obaapa Christy left for the US for a three-day convention at the church when the ordination took place.

Interview With The Manager Of Obaapa Christy

In an interview with her manager, Quame Owusu Daquah, he told Citi Showbiz that even though Obaapa has been ordained at the Divine Prayer Line church, she can minister everywhere she goes.

Meanwhile, her manager had earlier taken to Facebook to congratulate her on her ordination.

“As your manager, when I saw U off at the airport to the states I had in mind you would return with ‘plenty dollar’.

Little did I know God had other plans for U. Today, I salute your anointing and congratulate you for your ordination. The job has just began and together we will win souls for Christ.

God bless your ministry Rev. Obaapa Adwoa Christy. God bless your beautiful soul. Thank you Bishop Adonteng Boateng.” he wrote.

Born Christiana Adwoa Twene, Obaapa is one of Ghana’s finest gospel divas who has carved a niche for herself over the years in the music industry.

She had her basic education at her home town Anomaangye in the Ashanti region.

The sensational gospel musician is the second of nine children born.

A greater portion of Ghanaians describe her as Ghana’s queen of praise and worship.

The hyebre sesafo” singer has 8 albums to her credit. Some of her songs include Onyame Ba’, ‘Meti Ase’, ‘Ayari Sa”Moving Forward’, ‘Shyebre Sesafo’.

Obaapa Christy has several awards for her motivational and spiritually uplifting songs. They include; Ghana Music Award, a National Award honours and an award from former President Kuffuor.

She also recently scooped three awards for Gospel Female Vocalist Of The Year, Best Gospel Song Of The Year and Best Gospel Artiste Of The Year at the just ended 2017 Ghana Gospel Music Awards.
