Highlife musician, Kurl Songx, says he felt betrayed after his interview on the popular TV Show, ‘The Delay Show’ was aired.
The ‘Jennifer Lomotey’ hitmaker granted an interview on the Delay show in January.
In the course of the interview, he stated that he did not have a girlfriend as of that time.
He, however, added he had a lot of women who satisfy him sexually.
But the ‘Feeling’ singer has expressed deep hurts at that part of the interview in a recent interview with Doreen Avio on ‘Let’s Talk Showbiz’ on JoyNews.
According to Kurl Songx, even though he made those comments, he asked Delay not to air that part of the interview which she agreed to.
“After the interview, I told her that, please I felt I didn’t speak well here, so I’m pleading can you edit it out, I will appreciate it,” he said.
But as was clearly seen from the interview, that was not done and Kurl says he felt betrayed when that part was aired.
He believes that, this is a an act of betray from the host to promote her show.
“I felt really betrayed because I kept on repeating over and over again but it was because she wanted to sell her show and not my brand. She didn’t really care about my brand so I have learnt my lessons. If I offend you and I apologize and you say, ‘no’, because you want to sell your show in your selfish interest, fair enough,” he said.
He also added that he does not see the need to pursue it because the harm had already been caused.
But he insisted that it was wrong for Delay to still air the interview because, him being honest does not mean he should be seen as a bad person in public.
Kurl Songx used the platform to apologize to all women who were offended by his comments.
“I am pleading with Ghanaians that whatever I said if you felt disrespected. That’s not who I am, I’m am truly sorry. The fact that I was being honest, maybe at that point I didn’t speak well but I am not that kind of person,” he said.
Kurl Songx is currently promoting his new single, ‘Trumpet’ which is already receiving a lot of airplay on media platforms.
Socialite Afia Schwarzenegger has hinted of her intentions to accept Kurl Songx proposal.
Few months ago, budding Highlife musician and former MTN hitmaker winner, Kurl Songx denied in an interview earlier rumors that he was secretly dating Afia Schwarzenegger.
However, he is reportedly said to have revealed during the interview that he wouldn’t mind dating the loud mouthed comedienne.
“I will even be happy if that happens, but it’s not true. I met her at the RTP awards and that’s the only encounter I have had with her. And if people are doing that campaign for me, why not. I have never been to her house and I don’t even know there.” He said.
Months later, the controversial presenter has made known her intentions to accept the proposal.
Afia, who posted a video of herself wiggling on Kurl’s recent song, ‘Trumpet’ said after listening to this particular song, she’s ready to ‘tango’ with the Jennifer ‘Lomotey’ hitmaker.
Meanwhile, Kurl Songx has also responded by replying “I’m coming for you”
Budding hiplife artiste, Kurl Songx says he deserves to walk away with the ‘Best male vocalist’ of the year award at the impending Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2018.
According to the ‘Jennifer Lomotey’ hitmaker, his hit song, which features celebrated rapper Sarkodie should easily earn him the ‘collaboration of the year’ award.
He made these revelations in an interview with TV personality, Deloris Frimpong Manso on the Delay show.
Apparently, the quest for each artiste to win ‘Big’ at the 2018 VGMA’s seems to be on the rise as the date for the event draws closer.
Kurl, will be competing against artistes such as Ebony, Kidi, Kuami Eugene amongst others.
Kurl Songx, who claims he isn’t perturbed by the competition, said ‘no one’s song is bigger than any ones. I campaign for myself. If it doesn’t go for me, I am cool as long as Ghanaians are the ones choosing the winner.’
He called on Ghanaians to expect more romantic songs from him, saying “Jennifer Lomotey” is just a warm up. “I have so many beautiful songs [for the people] this year,” he added”.
Kurl Songx rose to fame after winning the season 5 of the popular reality TV show, MTN Hitmaker.
He has since become a household name in Ghana and is known for songs like ‘Feeling’ and ‘whistle’.
Kurl Songx has droped another beautiful music video for the song ‘Feeling’, which features Ruff Town Records first lady, Ebony. The Song was produced by award-winning music producer Kaywa. The music video, was however directed by one of the top video producers Xbills Ebenezer.
