A heavy downpour which lasted close to four hours in the early hours on Friday has caused devastations in several parts of the country including the national capital, Accra. As was reported, many parts of Accra and Kumasi were heavily flooded.
The heavy downpour extended it’s devastation to former Head of State, Jerry John Rawlings’ house as the walls of his Ridge Residence was collapsed by the rain storm.
Although some have indicated that the collapsed wall resembled a deliberate demolition exercise carried out by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, reports by Accra-based FM suggest the collapsed wall resembled a deliberate demolition exercise carried out by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly.
Reports further indicate that, there are at least four police officers at the residence, but the former President’s security detail declined to speak to the media about the state of affairs at the residence.
