GMA UK 2018: Patapaa’s ‘One Corner’ Wins Most Popular Song of The Year

Hiplife artiste, Patapaa Amisty has shone once again as his ‘One Corner’ song

was adjudged the Most Popular Song of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards UK 2018.

The One Corner’ hit maker in April this year became angry when he lost  the plague to

Fancy Gadam in the Song of the Year award category at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

His heart desire has however come to pass now with his latest win in UK.

The Ghana Music Awards UK was held at Gaumont Palace (Dominion Center) on

Saturday, October 6th, 2018 saw some artistes sweep awards from their contenders.

The Ghana Music Awards UK 2018 is an annual event organized to celebrate and

recognize hardworking Ghanaians for their role in the music industry both in Ghana and UK.

Other artistes who won at the 3rd edition of the Ghana Music Awards UK include Ponobiom,

Ayesem, Kuami Eugene Kuami Eugene, Patience Nyarko King Promise Stonebwoy and many more.

Tributes were also paid to the late dancehall artiste Ebony Reigns who emerged the Artiste

of The year at the event.

Change of venue:Ghana Music Awards UK To Be launched in Ghana At Erata Hotel

The Ghana Music Awards UK 2018 launch is slated for Friday, May 18, 2018 ahead of the main event later this year.

However, venue for the press launch has been changed from the premises of media giants, Zylofon Media in East Legon to the Erata Hotel – East Legon.

Popular alcoholic beverage, Biegya Bitters, is the proud sponsor for the launch which will start at exactly 2pm.

Expected to grace the occasion are executives of both organizing bodies, artiste managers. Not excluding promoters, industry players, entertainment journalists as well as music lovers.

Furthermore, organizer are urging all those who are willing to attend the awards in UK, to inform them on time.

This will enable them to make all the necessary arrangements on time to eschew any inconveniences.

The 2018 edition of the Ghana Music Awards UK is it’s third since it inception.

The award scheme is aimed at rewarding and recognizing Ghanaian musicians for their works in a given year.

On the day of the launch, The criteria for the selection of songs to be nominated will be spelt out by the organizers and representatives of the scheme at the launch.

This will be followed by industry stakeholders around the world to be staged later this year in London.

Ghana Music Awards UK To Be Launched In Ghana on May 18

Date for the press and media launch of the much anticipated Ghana Music Awards – UK  is finally out.

The launch, according to organizers will come off on May 18, 2018 at a press briefing.

The event is on the laps of Alordia Promotions and Westcoast Promotions.

However, Zylofon FM and Television have collaborated with the organizers of the award scheme for this year’s edition.

Hence, the press and media launch is set to take place at the Zylofon Media headquarters at East Legon.

This outlet is opposite the Grand Mensvic hotel and the time is exactly 12pm.

Representatives of both Alordia and Westcoast Promotions, from the United Kingdom will be present.

Also present will be executives from Zylofon Media.

One of the key purposes of the award scheme is to enable Ghanaian music travel outside the shores of the nation.

As a result, organizers are calling on all and sundry to come support this initiative.
