Five(5) Beautiful Female Ghanaian Celebs Born In The Month Of August

August is the eighth month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian calendars, and the fifth of seven months to have a length of 31 days.

It was originally named Sextilis in Latin because it was the sixth month in the original ten-monthRoman Calendar under Romulus in 753 BC, and March was the first month of the year.

About 700 BC, it became the eighth month when January and February were added to the year before March by King Numa Pompilius, who also gave it 29 days.

Julius Caesar, added two days when he created the Julian calendar in 46 BC (708 AUC), giving it its modern length of 31 days.

In 8 BC, it was renamed in honor of Augustus. According to a Senatus consultum quoted by Macrobius, he chose this month because it was the time of several of his great triumphs, including the conquest of Egypt.

3 Ghanaian Celebrities Who Are Now Into Bread Baking Business

Bread baking seems to be one of the most lucrative jobs in the country these days. This is evident from the fact that there are many people who are now into the business. This includes university graduates and even artistes who have thrown away their certificates and talents and are now making it big in bread business.

Perhaps, it’s even more profitable in investing in that business than in entertainment in Ghana as these artistes claim to be making more money there than they do(did) in the entertainment industry.

Many artistes, including, Pope Skinny, C-Zar, others have complained bitterly of how music and the entertainment industry in Ghana doesn’t pay.

Most of them have also bemoaned how poor they end up after investing so much in entertainment.

As a result, many of these artistes, current and past are now into different entrepreneurial works, including bread baking.
This year alone, we have had three industry persons who have announced to the public that they are now into bread baking.

They include;

1. Uncle Hammer

There is not much to be said about the legendary music producer for he is already a house hold name in Ghana. Not only that but he also is one of the most respected personalities in the country.

His label, the Last Two Music Group has been responsible for producing talents such as Obrafour, Lord Kenya, Kwaw Kese, Tinny and Edem.

However after more than two decades of being at the forefront of talent discovery in Ghana, the ace music producer announced to the general public that it was time he put his hard earned money into something more profitable and that was the bread business.

He partnered with A1 Bakery to expand the Kumasi-based bread company to Accra and made it a household product in the capital.

2. Bandex (Ahmed Banda)

The legendary movie producer also abandoned the movie industry to channel his resources into the bread business and like Hammer, he hasn’t looked back one bit.

Unlike Hammer, Bandex did not reveal to the public that he was now into the bread business but as the saying goes, nothing can be kept under the spotlight forever.

Many begun to complain of his near-absence in the movie industry, with the number of movies he produces reducing drastically over the course of 2017. It was at this point that it was disclosed that the movie maker had a new focus; bread baking.

Images of his bread distributing vans with Bandex Bread logos on them went viral on social media and he could not hide it anymore. He later came out to confirm that indeed he had been in the bread business for a while now, a reason for which his movie production works had seen a decline.

He however insisted that he has no regrets as the bread business pays off big time.

3. Lucky Mensah

Another celebrated figure in the entertainment industry who has gone into the bread business is Lucky Mensah. He’s one legendary highlife artiste with dozens of hits to his name.

The ‘Come Back’ hitmaker, in an interview with Graphic showbiz last week disclosed why he has been dormant in making music for a while now.

He revealed that he had been in the bread business for a while now after realizing how lucrative it was.

According to Lucky Mensah, he was not going to sit down and die of hunger and poverty in the name of celebrity when he knows how bad the entertainment industry is with very little in terms of monetary reward.

The veteran artist advised his colleagues to be bold and venture into other businesses as music doesn’t pay off, especially in the long run. For him, he believes the bread business has been a blessing to him. This, he explained is because, he is making enough from it and living a comfortable life now.

Who knows, it may be only a matter of time before the likes of Nana Appiah Mensah and Sarkodie join the exodus of celebrities to invest in the lucrative bread baking business. For now, we can only watch on as the Celebrity-Bread business love affair unfolds before our very own eyes
