I Have Always Wanted To Be An Actress – Freda Rhymz

Black Avenue Music artist Fredda Rhymz has disclosed what the kind of career she had

always dreamt of venturing into whiles growing up.

According to the talented rapper, she had wanted to be an actress or a flight attendant and not a musician, even though she sings and act when she was in high school.

In an interview with host Ayisha Bayipa on SVTV Africa, the talented rapper said growing up .

“Growing up I have always wanted to be an actress or a flight attendant and not a musician, I love acting so much, I use to entertain my friends when I was in high school, I never dreamt of becoming a musician,” she said.

She however added that her dream of becoming an actress or a flight attendant was crashed

when one Boham identified a musical talent in her when she moved to Accra five years ago.

“I used to do my normal freestyle on snap chat until one day, a guy called Boham said I’m very talented, he likes what I do and he offered to help me,” Freda added.

Asked if she will quit music to pursue acting, the first female to win MTN Hit Maker Reality show replied;

” No, I have been called to do music, so I’m focusing on doing music now, besides it is still showbiz.” She noted.

Freda Rhymz is currently promoting her new single “I dey go” which features Kelvynboy.

Freda Ryhmes Eulogizes Ebony

Fast rising Ghanaian artiste, Freda Rhymz has said that the late dancehall act, Ebony Reigns was someone she really looked up to, in the early stages of her music career.

Freda Rhymz, real name, Freda Baffour Awuah is the winner of the 2017 edition popular music

reality show, MTN Hitmaker.

She has carved a niche in the Ghanaian music circles, as she is known as the “Queen of Rap”, for her smooth flow.

The ”Jammin” hitmaker also referred to as ”Saa Chicki No” in an interview with GNA

Entertainment, revealed her admiration for Ebony.

According to her, Ebony had been a source of motivation in her musical endeavors.

“I really liked Ebony’s music and she was someone I looked up to,

because she comes with the same energy, I do come up on stage with.’

Freda Rhymz told GNA Entertainment at the launch of the seven edition of the Hitmaker music reality show.

She further reiterated her desire to thrive in very competitive music circles, largely dominated by men.

“The truth is that, there is a heavy male domination in the Ghanaian music circles. But I think women can be equally successful

in this industry if they continue to produce back to back hit, which would keep them vibrant and active,” she ended.

Freda Rhymz Drops First Single Under Black Muzik Avenue

Freda Rhymz, winner of MTN Hitmaker season 6 and the newest member of the Black Muzik Avenue has finally released her much anticipated single dubbed ‘Jammin’.

Rhymz, really rhymed on this one as she brings dexterity to the label as the first and only female rapper on the label.

Black Avenue Muzik keeps unveiling fresh talents and placing Ghanaian music on the map.

Hiplife musician, Desmond Kwesi Blackmore, best known as D Black is the CEO of Black Avenue Muzik.

D Black added five new artistes onto the label last year in September. The unveiling of these five talents took place inside Oasis Pool and Shisha Lounge in Cantonments at a press launch.

The artistes include;Dahlin Gage Kobla Jnr, Nina Ricchie, Wisa Greid, Osayo, S3fa, Freda Rhymz and producer Rony Turn Me Up.

“Jammin” was engineered by Harma Boi, produced by Dj Breezy x Fantom.

MTN Hitmaker Season 6 Winner, Freda Rhymz Joins Black Avenue Muzik

Black Avenue Music has added onto it’s record label a new artiste, Freda Rhymz.

The artiste, Freda Rhymz is the winner of the MTN Hitmaker season 6. Black Avenue Muzik is owned by award-winning musician Desmond Kwesi Blackmore, best known as D Black.

In September last year, D-Black signed five artists on the label in a glamorous press launch. The event, hosted by KOD was held at the Oasis Pool and Shisha Lounge in Cantonments.

Highlight

Freda Rhymz joins Kobla Jnr, Dahlin Gage, Wisa Greid, Osayo, S3fa and Nina Ricchie .

She was also featured on the recently released brand new single #Kokorkor featuring all the artists on the label. She is expected to make her debut single later this month.
