Shatta Wale, Sarkodie ‘Beef’ Brings Excitement Into Ghanaian Music – DopeNation

Many artistes have since expressed their views on the current ‘beef’ between Sarkodie and Shatta Wale.

Shatta Wale went looking for trouble few weeks ago and referred to Sarkodie as being poor.

Sarkodie, who has for sometime now been quite on Shatta Wale’s controverises decided not to let sleeping dogs lie this time round.

He took his time and composed a song for Shatta Wale which he titled ‘My Advice’

The Sarkcess Music boss lashed out at the SM boss and later gave him some pieces of advice.

Though Shatta Wale has said he will not reply the ‘diss’ song, some artistes have waded

into the controversy with many supporting Sarkodie.

Sharing their views on the issue, Ghanaian musical duo DopeNation have said they are

happy when Ghanaian artistes engage in brawls or beefs with each other.

This they explained is because they find it healthy for the showbiz industry in Ghana.

The duo were speaking in an interview on the Class Drive on Class91.3FM.

According to DopeNation, when they see artistes beefing, it makes them happy because

it brings Ghanaian music alive.

B2 told show host Prince Benjamin that;

“It’s high time Ghana got to understand showbiz. I wouldn’t say I’m encouraging conflict, but it’s high time we got to understand how showbiz is.

Sakordie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy; these people have gotten to understand that feeding fans with our personal lifestyle and then what we feel about another artistes is more;

instead of giving them the music they want to make you feel what’s in them,

if you look at Sakordie’s career, Sakordie’s career has been giving fans different tastes

of how showbiz is like, it’s making Ghana music go alive.

“I wouldn’t have known that Shatta Wale’s album was number one on iTunes in different countries in less than twenty-four hours if it wasn’t for this beef that was going on, it’s made Ghanaians more interested about music.

“For me, it encourages me the more, it’s making me know Sakordie can pull this number when he’s having his concert, Shatta Wale can pull this number.”

Twist also added:

“All of the stuff that happened before the concert contributed to the number of people going for the concert.

If they say Sakordie doesn’t brag, but Shatta Wale brags a lot about his riches,

the way he brags motivates, it inspires people out there like someone who lives in

his small single room who drinks tea in the evening, bread and egg in the evening,

will be motivated Shatta Wale was once here and he has the G-Wagon and he has

this now, so, it’s a source of motivation. Sakordie also brags with his career, too,

and where he has taken Ghana music to. We are happy that they are beefing, it all adds up.”

as B2, and Tony Boafo, known as Twist.
