Ghanaian rapper, “Dadie Opanka”, known privately as Armstrong Affum is optimistic he
deserves to win the best rapper award in this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

Opanka, who released a number of hit singles back in 2018 believes he has done enough
to qualify for the award.
In an interview with GNA Entertainment, Dadie Opanka, arguably the best Ghanaian freestyler,
mentioned significant strides made in his music career amid the challenges that comes along.
“I have been in music for quite a while and I always do my best to offer my fans with good rap music”, he said.
“My focus is not necessarily about winning awards, but I feel I need to be
recognized considering my exploits in the music industry, which lacks quality rappers,” Opanka added.

Opanka, who couldn’t make the shortlist for the 2018 best rapper award, would be hopeful
of gaining the best rapper nomination and possibly win the award this time round.
Meanwhile, Opanka’s most recent single “Menzgold” has gained massive airplay as he
continues with his thrilling exploits for music loving fans in Ghana and beyond.
