Bullet Is A ‘Prodigal Son’ – Starboy Kwarteng

Father of the late Ebony Reigns, Nana Opoku Kwarteng has described the Manager of his late daughter, Ricky Nana Agyemang popularly called Bullet as a “prodigal son”.

Speaking to host Akwasi Aboagye on Peace FM’s “Entertainment Review”, Ebony’s father noted that he has forgiven Bullet of every wrong and has accepted him back into the bosom of the family.

He told the host that Bullet consulted with the management of GHAMRO to facilitate the reconciliation process.

According to him, during the reconciliation process, Bullet admitted that he is a prodigal son and would, therefore, appreciate it if they bury the hatchet.

Mr. Opoku Kwarteng said since a prodigal son has returned to him, it is only appropriate that as a good father; he embraces him and iron out all their differences.

“His posture, his countenance; everything about him showed he was indeed remorseful. In this world, when you show remorse, as a matured person; I will know and if it’s a gimmick too, I will know.

And indeed, I did see that he meant that and of course, I have accepted him in good faith; back to normalcy. As he was my son some time ago, he’s still my son today,” he said.

I Want To Make Peace With Ebony’s Father – Bullet

Former manager for the late Ebony Reigns, Bullet, has expressed readiness to settle all differences with the late musician’s father.

Nana Poku Kwarteng, father of the late songstress and Bullet have had differences following the

Ricky Nana Agyeman.

He further went on asking for rights to all musical works, both finished and unfinished, of his daughter.

A one-year anniversary concert will be held for Ebony come March 30.

It is however believed that Bullet does not have any role in the planning of the upcoming event.

Speaking to sit-in host of Starr Drive Joseph Kumi, Bullet said;

“I think we have a team, MUISIGA and GHAMRO. I really wish this thing can be solved so that I can even be part of Ebony’s one year celebration because I really want this to happen. So I’m talking to Rex Omar and Obour so that we can talk to him and solve every differences.”

He added: “We will meet on Thursday to decide everything. Settle differences, I want to be part of Ebony’s 1 year organizing team. I need to have that relationship with the father first. I really wanna do this for my girl.”

He is however hopeful that everything will resolved amicably.“I know everything is gonna be fine,” he said.

We Almost Sold ‘Swagger’ For GHC1000 – Bullet

Musician turned artistes manager, Ricky Nana Agyeman, popularly known as Bullet, has revealed he and Akhan, a member of the duo Ruff n Smooth, almost sold their first single, ‘Swagger’ because, they were in urgent need of money.

The CEO of Ruff Town records said he and his brother wanted ¢1,000 for the song so they could rent a new place.

“We were being forced out of our old place and found a single room we could rent. We wanted to use ¢600 to rent and the ¢400 left to record more songs,” he told Lexis Bill Monday on Drive Time.

Former musician, Mimi Andani, who they pitched the song to did not buy.

Bullet believed because Mimi was big at the time, she may not have trusted in the duo’s talent.

He told Lexis Bill, he is happy they did not sell the song, “If we had sold it, I think hunger may have killed us by now.”

The artiste manager said they had to write and produce the song in a garage, “we replaced some lyrics in the song and released it.”

The duo who were unsuccessful as solo artistes before 2010, had their first single as a

duo “Swagger” enjoy massive airplay across the country.

“To sit in a garage and write a song for it to become that popular and [for] people to enjoy, the feeling was overwhelming,” he stated.

Bullet explained his happiness then, was unexplainable because he never thought he

would move from being a street boy to a successful artiste

Ebony Would’ve Never Left RuffTown Records – Bullet

Artiste manager, Ricky Nana Agyemang, popularly known as Bullet, has refuted claims that the late Ebony Reigns wanted to leave his RuffTown records.

According to him, the Ebony he knew, would have never left his record label.

Speaking on “Behind the Fame with Lexis Bill” on “Drive Time” on Monday, Bullet explained

that even though he and the artiste had their disagreements, it was nothing major for Ebony to leave Ruff Town Records as people thought.

“The Ebony that I knew knows I did a lot for her and she will never do that,” he said.

There were several rumours after the death of the dancehall diva; one notably being that her relationship with Bullet had gone sour.

These rumours however exploded after the CEO of Zylofon Media Nana Appiah Mensah tweeted that Ebony wanted to leave Ruff Town for his record label.

Bullet, however, dispelled rumours that he and Ebony ever had a fall out.

“She never came anywhere to say Bullet did this or that. There was no interview that she badmouths me. Listen to all her interviews,” Bullet said.

He stated that in his short-lived relationship with Ebony, he never bullied her to do anything she did not want to do.

“If anything, she was the one who dictated what she wanted to do,” he added.

“If Ebony wanted to leave, it was because some people might have tried to win her over by giving her promises of money or convince her of better opportunities elsewhere,” he told Lexis Bill.

Bullet again added that artistes fall out with their management or groups mostly because

the people around them convince them.

“You are the man, you’re doing everything and you can stand on your own,” he commented.

He also explained his introduction of Wendy Shay during the 2018 Ghana Music Awards

had nothing to do with a sour relationship with Ebony.

“It was my award when I won the songwriter of the year that I introduced Wendy Shay [it was not to disrespect Ebony] and I know that all I did Ebony was going to be happy because she knew I loved to bring out the talent [in people].”

“Ebony was very close to my heart no matter what she did,” Bullet added.

Ebony, born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, died in a gory accident on the Sunyani – Kumasi road last year.

Meanwhile, the relationship between Bullet and Ebony’s father, Nana Poku Kwarteng continues to be sour even a year after her demise.

Her one year anniversary is however slated for March 31.

In the audio, the lady alleged that Bullet slept with Ebony and was also bonking Wendy Shay.

But speaking to Lexis Bill on Accra-based Joy FM, the artiste manager mentioned that he never slept with Ebony Reigns while she was alive.

He mentioned that Ebony Reigns respected him so much because he was the only artiste manager who helped her but did not ask to sleep with her.

He further revealed that he had no idea of the said audio which was been circulated on social media.

a hand in the death of Dancehall icon, Ebony Reigns

After Ebony’s death, many Ghanaians, including some prophets and even Ebony’s father pointed suggestive fingers at Bullet alleging he had something to do with the death of the late sensational singer.

But speaking to Accra-based Joy FM, Bullet said he has no hands in the death of the star girl who he had managed to become a household name in Ghana music.

According to the RuffTown CEO, he could never hurt a fly, let alone to talk of killing a human being. He also pointed out that it does not make any logical sense to kill an artiste he struggled to bring to the limelight and they were now about to reap their toils.

“You think it’s easy to kill [a] human being… I can never even kill a fly… For what, why would I do something like that…you think its easy to kill a star like Ebony?” Bullet quizzed.

“You think spiritually or physically I will be here…God knows I have no hand in her death no matter what,” he stressed.

Bullet however mentioned that he lost control over Ebony hence her ability to travel at that ungodly hour.

According to the CEO of RuffTown Records, “I never asked her to do things she didn’t want to.

He also admitted that he has quite a bad temper but he never interfered in personal issues of the “Maame Hwe” hitmaker.

“I use to have temper but I never bullied Ebony to do things she didn’t want to… there is no record label that will give you 40 per cent. I think she had the biggest one and was comfortable [under Rufftown records],” he said.

He, however, added that, Ebony’s demise caused him a lot because he invested heavily for her to move to the next level in her career.

“We were about to make more money and that was when everything went down the drain. I even refunded money for some shows after her death,” Bullet said.

I Lost Control Of Ebony, Didn’t Know She Was Travelling – Bullet

Artiste manager, Ricky Nana Agyemang, popularly known as Bullet has admitted that he,

at a point in time, lost control of Ebony before she died.

According to him, the situation was so dire that, he did not even know that the artiste he

groomed to become a household name was travelling the day she met her untimely death.

The CEO of RuffTwon  Records, shortly after Ebony lost her life in a tragic accident on February

8, 2017, came under heavy criticisms with many questioning why he would allow his artiste to travel in the night.

Ebony met her untimely death in a gory accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway after visiting her mother.

Reacting to the attacks in an interview a year after her demise, Bullet explained that, “When an artiste become a success or becomes big sometimes it’s very hard to control them. I didn’t know she was travelling.”

Bullet, who was speaking in an interview with Lexis Bill on Behind the Fame on Joy FM Monday, admitted that, “What I will say is, I lost control…I didn’t fail…I lost control because maybe the artiste thought she’s become big and she wanted to be on her own. When I say I lost control, I didn’t have a say, because it became difficult telling Ebony what to do”.

“It so hard…sometimes they don’t understand the fame…there is no way I would allow Ebony to travel [at that time],” he said.

“I know they cannot blame me because I did all I could,” Bullet defended himself.

He was quick to shield himself from any culpability that he had a hand in the death of Ebony.

“You think it’s easy to kill [a] human being… I can never even kill a fly… For what, why would I do something like that,” and that it does not make any logical sense to kill an artiste he struggled to bring to the limelight and they were now about to reap their toils.

“You think its easy to kill a star like Ebony?” the RuffTown Records CEO further quizzed.

“You think spiritually or physically I will be here…God knows I have no hand in her death no matter what,” he stressed.

The artiste manager was also quick to dispel rumours that he demanded to see the body of Ebony at 2 am after the accident.

Bullet explained that he was not even in the country then and therefore simply not possible for him to make such demands.

Few months back, a lady with name Tisha emerged shortly after the untimely death of the late Ebony Reigns.

Wendy Shay’s ‘Uber Driver’ Video Cost Us $20,000 – Bullet

CEO of RuffTown Records, Ricky Nana Agyeman best known as Bullet has pounced back at critics of his artiste, Wendy Shay.

Social media was awash with photos of the ‘Uber Driver’ hitmaker few days ago with critics calling her out to change her hairstyle. This according to them is because she has kept her weavon for three months.

But her Manager, Bullet has asked Ghanaians to do away with their needless criticisms. According to Bullet, it is high time Ghanaians supported young talents and did away with unnecessary criticisms.

In a post on Facebook, the artiste manager said Ghanaians with their demonic tongues killed Ebony Reigns and he will not sit for Ghanaians to do same to Wendy Shay.

“Some Ghanaians hate to see young talented people progress.you guys did worst to ebony reigns when she was alive now is wendy shay.i dey beg una make you remove that your evil mouth from her,and those who dont get it, her hair style is her brand,” he wrote.

He also added that the label was able to shoot a video worth 20,000 US Dollars for Wendy. Hence, if anything at all, buying a weavon for her wouldn’t be a problem.

“if rufftown records can shoot 20,000 us dollar video for wendy shay then how much is weavon.Ghana support your own and stop the pull him down attitude!”.

Bullet Finally Reveals Why He Was Quick To Replace Ebony With Wendy Shay

The CEO of RuffTown Records, Ricky Nana Agyemang, popularly known as Bullet has finally revealed why he was quick to replace the late Ebony Reigns with Wendy Shay.

Bullet was heavily criticized by many Ghanaians when he announced his new artiste, Wendy Shay just some few days after Ebony’s burial.

He has since been the ‘toast’ of many social media users and even some artistes whosaid it was too early for him to replace Ebony.

But Bullet has finally revealed why he recruited another artiste or replaced Ebony that early in an interview with Dr. Pounds on Hitz Gallery on Accra based radio station Hitz Fm.

According to him, it is a Ghanaian mentality to say he replaced Ebony or was too quick to recruit another artiste because he’s a business man.

He further stated that, no business entity closes down for losing an employee.

“it is a Ghanaian mentality. It’s business. Dr pounds if something should happen to you or a presenter at Hitz fm , Multimedia is not going to close down. KABA was at Multimedia, he died and Multimedia is still working.

Rufftown Records is a business. I am doing business, people should rather say Bullet did well after all he went through; all the sufferings ,bashings. He is on his feet trying to push other young talented artistes. Ghanaians should look at the positive side of it. I can wait for Ebony 100 years and Ebony is not going to come back. Music must go on, work must go on and people are saying I should wait ?,” he said.

Bullet has signed male artistes like Brella, Danny Beatz, on his label. But he revealed on the show that his concentration is focused on helping the female artistes as the industry is flooded with male artistes

Some Top Artistes Called TV Stations To Stop Playing Wendy Shay’s ‘Uber Driver’- Bullet

CEO of RuffTown Records, Bullet has made some shocking revelations about how some top artistes wanted to end his artiste, Wendy Shay’s career.

According to Bullet, some top artistes called TV stations to question why they frequently play Wendy Shay’s hit song dubbed ‘Uber Driver’.

He further stated that, this surprised him to the core considering the fact that it was coming from A-List artistes.

Bullet made this revelation in an interview with Dr. Pounds on Hitz Gallery on Accra based radio station Hitz Fm.

He however refused to mention the names of such artistes although the host pushed him to do so.

Bullet could not fathom why top artistes are trying to sabotage Wendy Shay, considering the fact that she’s a new artiste.

“When she dropped her music and TV Stations were playing it, other musicians called the TV stations to question them on why they were playing Wendy Shay’s song too much. It is surprising too, when its coming from A-list artistes…” he said.

Bullet however took the opportunity to charge fellow musicians to be supportive of each other rather than pulling each other down.

“Wendy Shay was bemused when she witnessed this, but I told her its part of the game and she should do her own thing. I will guide her through to the top. She seems new to these stuffs…” Bullet added

Bullet Unveils New Female Artiste To ‘Replace’ Ebony Reigns

RuffTown Records CEO, Ricky Osei Agyemang best known as Bullet has unveiled the newest female artist on his label.

He took to Facebook on Tuesday to introduce the new artiste to the world through series of posts.

The first one came with a photo of the beautiful lady and he captioned it; “Wendy Shay…. anticipate Rufftown to the world…”

However, there were mixed reactions from his followers began asking and speculating if she’s to ‘replace’ the late dancehall diva, Ebony Reigns.

Bullet then answered; “her name is Wendy shay, beauty with talent, versatile and different.”

He then posted another photo of Wendy Shay with a much clearer caption to answer his fans which reads; “She is not here to replace my queen, Ebony reigns as being speculated. Ebony Reigns is irreplaceable!”

Background

Ebony Reigns, born Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng passed on earlier this year. After her demise, some of her fans have wondered if there would ever be a female musician like her. They’ve been asking if someone will ever be at par with the legacy she left behind in her short reign in the music industry.

This is due to the fact that she was young and lasted for just two years in the industry, she was noted for releasing hit after hit songs. She managed to leave her footprints in the sands of time with hit songs that continue to play louder than ever even as she was no more.

No day has passed without us hearing any of her songs being played on air, at a party etc. Some of her songs are; Maame Hw3, Sponsor, Hustle, Kupe among others.

We sure do hope Wendy Shay is also going to be a major influence on the music industry.

It’s Only Heartless People Who Will Say We’re Doing Business With Ebony’s Death – Bullet

Ricky Nana Agyeman, manager of the Ebony Reigns,  has stated that anyone who says they’re doing business with the death of the 90’s Bad Gyal is heartless.

Family and management of the late Ebony unveiled three clothes for her final funeral rites.

The clothes were named after her songs, ‘Maame Hwe’ and ‘Aseda’.

Again, a tribute concert to raise funds for her foundation, will be held today

This will be immediately be followed by her final burial service on Saturday March,24.

The family and her management, headed by Bullet, have revealed that all these are in line with some of the dreams Ebony had whiles alive.

They want her legacy to live on forever, hence they’ve taking it upon themselves to fulfil some of her dreams in her honor.

However, there have been several unsavory comment from the public to the family and management.

According to some section of the public, her management, seeks to make profit from Ebony’s demise. This is particularly, following their idea to charge a fee of GH¢10 at the gate on Friday.

Most people claim do not understand why they’re charging for entrance fee when the artistes billed to perform are doing so free of charge.

Bullet has however, reacted to these comments in an interview with DJ Adviser on Happy FM’s Ayekoo Drive. He expounded on the reasons behind the whole event.

Bullet Speaks;

“…Ebony has always wanted to have a clothing line. You are being heartless if you say we are doing business with her death. Ebony is an artist so what is wrong with having a clothing line in her memory. If her fans want to buy then what is your problem. Why should it be mourning… mourning… mourning? Bullet quizzed.

The exasperated Bullet indicated that he is not the first person to have done this for a late artiste.

“Ebony is a big artiste and there has been lot of big musicians in the likes of Michael Jackson and many more, so why are Ghanaians thinking this way? We are just doing all this in the memory of Ebony.” He added.

Ebony, born Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng lost her life in a fatal accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi Highway in February. She was returning to Accra after visiting her mother in Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region.

Meanwhile, her bodyguard, Lance Corporal Atsu Vondee is also to be buried on Saturday in the Volta Region.

Shatta Wale Needs Prayers – Bullet

CEO of Rufftown records, Ricky Nana Agyeman, aka Bullet says dancehall star, Shatta Wale needs help and prayers.

According to him, Shatta Wale needs help and prayers because whatever is happening to him is not good.

Shatta Wale lashed out on Bullet in the wake of Ebony’s tribute concert controversies.

Few days ago, Bullet made a complaint that some artistes were demanding money before they perform at her oncoming musical tribute concert.

Although Bullet didn’t mention any artiste’s name, a section of Ghanaians said they suspect that Shatta was the one making the demands. When the news broke out, Bullet in a series of interviews clarified that Shatta Wale wasn’t the one demanding the money. He even went as far as adding that Wale cannot do that.

Meanwhile Shatta Wale, who’s currently out of the country took to Facebook on Friday(March 16) to lash out at Bullet, calling him a fool. He again called into Peace FM’s Entertainment Review program on (March 17)to throw jabs at Bullet and also called the upcoming Ebony Tribute concert useless.

In reacting to his comments, Bullet said he has observed that Shatta Wale needs help and prayers. He queried why a greater section of the public thought it was Shatta Wale making the demands and not  any other artiste? He noted that, Shatta Wale insulting him is no news at all to him. This he explained is because, if he’s able to insult many big men in the society and even threaten to burn down churches then who is he(Bullet) that Shatta Wale wouldn’t insult?

Bullet speaks;

“He needs help, he needs prayers. We need to pray for him, whatever is happening to him is not good” he said.

He added that “Shatta Wale claims God brought him from the streets. From the streets if God has really blessed you, is that the way to talk?. You should be an inspiration to the youth. You should be an inspiration to the ghetto youth. Whatever you say as someone who’s been blessed from the ghetto should be inspirational.” Bullet noted.

Shatta Wale Slams Bullet Over Ebony’s Tribute Concert, Calls Him A ‘Fool’

Controversial Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has slammed at Bullet over his facebook comment on Ebony’s tribute concert.
In a post on Facebook, Bullet had expressed that some artistes are demanding for money before they perform at Ebony’s tribute concert.

Bullet wrote:

“Some of our Ghanaian artistes are very hypocrite, you came to Ebony’s one week observation because the numbers were there and again it was being telecast live on air so some of you came there to use the platform. “Now you’re asking me to pay you for her tribute concert. I thought you loved her as you claimed on stage at her one week. This is pure hypocrisy. Big thanx to every artistes who has decided to support us. We are grateful.”

However, a great number of  Facebook users at the comment section have linked Shatta Wale to the one. Although Bullet didn’t and has still refused to mention any artistes name.

Again. Bullet had granted a series of interviews, including one on Zylofon FM, that Shatta Wale is not the one Demanding for money.

Shatta Wale, as usual, took to Facebook to lash out at Bullet.  He denied charging to perform at a tribute concert where people would be attending to mourn the dead.

He again added in his post that he was sure Bullet was the one spreading the rumours and that if it is Bullet spreading the rumours, then he is a ‘’fool’’.

Shatta Wale’s Post Below;

“How can I charge to go and perform at a funeral ..where is the happiness and enjoyment at the particular place and time ..Bullet if you are the one spreading rumors like this which I kno u can ….then u fool waaa this Friday..This is not the first time I am hearing this form your camp .. Zylofon is my pride if you kno like go burn the sea .. #champioooon #Zylofon #bossbaker #SM #Storm#SolashEnt #Asuoden #LBE Z 4 #ZYLOFON #ZYLOFONMEDIA #ZYLOFONMUSIC #ZYLOFONSHATTAS.”

Shatta Wale Didn’t Demand Money To Perform At Ebony’s Tribute Concert- Bullet

It looks like this time round, Ghanaians have had the wrong perception about the SM King, Shatta Wale.

Bullet, Manager of the late Ebony Reigns in a Facebook post yesterday made some allegations against some artistes.

According to Bullet, some artistes want to be paid before they perform at Ebony’s tribute concert.

Though he didn’t mention any artiste’s name, some people claimed they suspected no one but Shatta Wale.

For this, many at the comment section of Bullet’s post alleged that the ‘Freedom’ hitmaker was part.

However, Bullet in an interview today on Hitz FM said that his post has nothing to do with the ‘Ayoo’ hitmaker.

According to him, Shatta Wale didn’t demand money to perform at Ebony’s tribute and can never do that.

“It is not Shatta Wale. He cannot do that,” Bullet said.

He however promised to name and shame those involved after the burial the late songstress.

Bullet Lashes Out On Some Artistes Requesting To Be Paid Before Performing At Ebony’s Tribute Concert

The Manager of the Late dancehall artiste Ebony Reigns has attacked some Ghanaian artistes over Ebony’s tribute concert.

According to Bullet, some artistes are requesting to be paid before they perform at Ebony’s tribute concert. Bullet however thinks it is an act of hypocrisy on their part. To him, these artistes appeared at the one week memorial of the late songstress just to utilize the platform for their own gain.

The line-up of the tribute concert was released today  with so many top artistes billed to perform as we earlier reported.

Bullet is however not happy with the fact that some of these artistes are demanding for money. The concert is in the memory of the late songstress, Ebony Reigns and perhaps he thought colleagues could just show their support and perform for free.

He took to his Facebook page to lash out on these artistes and appreciate those who are selflessly supporting them.

He wrote:

“Some of our Ghanaian artistes are very hypocrite, you came to Ebony’s one week observation because the numbers were there and again it was being telecast live on air so some of you came there to use the platform. Now you’re asking me to pay you for her tribute concert. I thought you loved her as you claimed on stage at her one week. This is pure hypocrisy. Big thanx to every artistes who has decided to support us. We are grateful.”

Ebony’s tribute concert is slated for the 23rd of March, 2018, at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra.

Meanwhile, some Ghanaians are also attacking Bullet over the GHC 10 gate fee charge. Well, they also thought it would be free.

Bullet Mocks Nana Appiah Mensah Over Stonebwoy And Bulldog Crashes

It looks like Bullet, Manager of the Late Ebony has decided to take his revenge on Zylofon Media Boss, Nana Appiah Mensah for his tweet about the sadden demise of Ebony.

It would be recalled that barely a week after the death of Ebony Reigns, Nana Appiah made a controversial tweet which went viral.

The tweet, sparked many controversies all pointing accusing fingers at Bullet. In his tweet, Nana Appiah talked about reaching an agreement with the late songstress. Adding that Ebony begged her to set her free by paying someone off.

Well, many people believed that that someone was no other person than her Manager, Bullet.

Nana Appiah’s Tweet read;

“We had a fruitful meeting and reached an agreement just last Tuesday. ‘Please help me pay him for my bailout. I want to be free’ I hope you’re free now and finds absolute peace in the bosom of the almighty God. Let’s pay CRITICAL ATTENTION to our female artists.” he wrote at the time.

The tweet and it’s accompanying hullabaloos didn’t go down well with Bullet at all. However, it looks  he has gotten the right time to take his revenge on the Zylofon Media Boss. He’s now giving him a taste of his own medicine.

He posted a photo of Stonebwoy and captions it;

“We had a fruitful meeting and reached an Agreement just yesterday.”please help me cos they want to take my car” and i want to be free.lets pay CRITICAL ATTENTION TO our dancehall artists.#freebwoy #youthinkartistmanagementiseasy#rufftownrecords”

#youthinkartistmanagementiseasy

Many believe the post is directed at the Zylofon Media boss following the current pandemonium on-going at the Zylofon Media Camp. Especially one between Stonebwoy who according to reports has left the company and the A&R Manager, Bulldog.
